CHAPTER 2: Silver Lace

Olsen practically pulls me out of the store, "I hate that guy." He says under his breath in irritation, pulling my hand into his as I outright laugh at his pouting form. He turns me to him in front of the lingerie shop, I hide another laugh when I see the position he stands in, in front of a manikin sporting a peach chemise.

His eyes are serious though as he penetrates mine, "You invited them to tryouts. I'm not captain yet, Adeline. Ace could still bench me, now you're giving the German freaks a chance for spots on the team. This is serious, Adeline, would you stop looking at the bras for a second?" He says to me.

I sigh in defeat, looking at him closely, "Olsen, what is the problem here? Ace has already spoken to you about your position and I doubt Jeremiah would even want a spot on the football team. Besides, I was joking. They're not into football anyway, now can we please get some sushi? I snuck out of the house for sushi." I inform him.

He narrows his eyes, "You snuck out of the house to hang out with me." He says to me.

I wave him off, "Of course." I say to him, winking.

He rolls his eyes and hides a smile, stepping towards me, hands around my waist as he towers over me, eyes searching mine, "You are an impossible human being, you know that?" He murmurs down to me.

I cup his cheeks feeling them warm underneath my hands, before pinching the skin there, giggling as he scrunches his nose, a clearing of the throat centre's beside us. I pause and turn towards the auburn haired female, all nine of them just staring, studying the exchange while Jeremiah cleared his throat, "Do you mind if we join you both for lunch?" He asks.

Olsen's eyes darken, "What part of-OW!" He howls when I crunch my heel into his two thousand dollar high tops and pat his chest when he buckles, he gives me a dark stare, "I need my feet, woman." He whispers over to me.

I smile over as I speak to him through gritting teeth, "Do you want to keep your tongue too?" I ask him, discretely.

He narrows his eyes, "You are being really mean to the man who helped you sneak out of your parent's estate." He points out, glancing down at his foot, as if wiggling his toes as he curses under his breath, even while we have a group of leather jackets waiting in front of us, still scrutinising both Olsen and I.

I clear my throat, "You stayed in the car."

"...bought you a hot chocolate and helped you with Pennywise." He says to me.

I fold my arms, "You merely told me about the website, I paid for that massive thing and had to insert the microchip to make it talk the exact way it does in the movie. That took me all night last night and now you want me to go to one of Cassandra's parties. Your parties are better than hers and she's got a jacuzzi." I point out.

He smirks, "Ah, I remember the jacuzzi...do you still have that bikini?" He asks me, grinning wide, eyes twinkling.

I give him a flat look, "That was Nora."

He blinks, "Excuse me?" He asks.

Auburn-haired laughs, "Oh, so you're the kind of guy that will sleep and flirt with woman while drunk, even when you've already got a beautiful girl in your arms. I knew you were a scumbag, but I had no idea you were this much of an arsehole too." She says to him, giving him the dirtiest look and turning to me in question, probably in regards to why he's my friend on the first place.

Olsen ignores her, "I wouldn't ever kiss Nora. Don't you remember? Ruby red lace underwear and the bra had no straps, it had that Ruby crescent Jewel in the middle, you were wearing that red lipstick that matched, only it didn't stick on for very long after you and I shared our first kiss." He says, flailing his hands as he explains. I blink slowly as I look at him.
