I woke to my alarm going off at 5 am. I shut it off and got in the shower, thinking about how todays activities were going to play out and what I was going to do. I dont think I should get my hopes up about Jeremy. It just seems to good to be true. He cant like me that much. I mean we have only known eachother for 2 days. And although it seems like he and I have known each other for ever, I dont want him to think I am easy.

While I was in the kitchen making breakfast for both me and Jeremy I heard the knock on the door. I went over, looked through the peep hole and saw him standing there. His hair was kind of shaggy and a little damp from a recent shower. He was wearing a pair of jeans and a white polo shirt that seemed to stick to his chest. It molded his abs and his arms that were built. It seems to me that he likes working out.

When he knocked again, I noticed that I had been staring too long. I smiled and opened the door.

"Good morning." Then he sniffed. "Mmmm something smells good. What are we having?" He said, rubbing his hands together.

"Mighty sure of yourself arent you?" I said laughing.

"Hell ya I am. That smells to damn good to pass up. May I come in?"

"Sure."

We went in and ate breakfast and were on the road faster than I thought we would have been. I didnt even think to ask where we were going. So I asked.

"We are going to my work. They just had someone walk out and they need to fill the position." He said with a side glance.

"Oh. Well thats helpful. Thanks." I said. Blushing at the thought that he would help me out so much.

"So what is it you do at this place?" I couldnt let the curiousity get past me.

"Well I work at a store in the mall that sells shoes. I think you would fit well in there. I have been there for about 3 years and have kinda worked myself up to a manager position." He said with a slight shrug.

"kind of? What is that supposed to mean? That is like a huge deal!" I said with a slight slap on his arm. He just laughed at me.

:We pulled into the parking lot of the Arizona Mills Mall. Man I dont think "Mall" is a good enough word. It was like half the size of the town my mother and I moved out of!

I guess Jeremy saw the look on my face because when I looked at him again he was smiling. "What? Too big for you?" he said with that smirk showing. Sometimes that smirk made me want to just kiss him. Damn him.

"Well ya. It looks like you could fit a whole town in here." I gestured towards the mall.

"That is the point. There are many people who come here in one day and they need the room. This is just one of Arizonas several malls. Ill have to show you the other ones soon." With that he grabbed my hand and towed me towards the mall entrance.

We got to the store called Nike's Here and Now. I looked around and couldnt understand how he could manage such a place.

"Wow." I whispered because it was quiet. It was still before 8am and the mall hadnt even opened.

I heard Jeremy laugh at me. "What?" I asked.

He just shook his head. He had walked over to the check out counter and reached behind it. He came back with a pen and a piece of paper. "Fill this out over there," He pointed to the bench along a wall. "Then bring it to me and I will look at what we can do. I will be behind that door. Dont be shy when your done. Just come on in." He then turned and went through said door.

I took another glance around the store. It was pretty big. There were many sets of shoes that were set out and many that were in boxes. I bet there were alot more boxes that were behind the walls of the far wall.

I sat down and started the application. When I finished, I glanced up and saw no one was around. I started toward the door when I heard a woman talking.

"What do you mean your going to hire her?" Said the woman. She sure did sound familiar.

"Just what I said. I am going to put her on as floor sales. See how she does." That was Jeremy.

"Is this because you have a thing for her?" The girl said. "Because if it is, you cant do that."

"Maybe. Maybe not. But this does have to do with me helping out someone in need. I am the manager, Krystie, not you. So it doesnt matter what you think."

That is where the voice sounded familiar.

"Look. You and I are meant to be together." Said Krystie. "Dont let that bitch get in the way of our relationship."

Bitch?! Who was she calling a bitch? Ooohh Ill show her...

Then I opened the door to see Krystie kissing Jeremy. The startled look in his eyes, then hers was just my fancy. Hey, he said not to be shy. Right?
