But now with plenty of light, Tony regonized who it was...
.........
"Mark?"
"Oh, so disguise didn't work."
Person removed his hood, revealing Mark Shineski. One of 3nds members, who should not have any motive to lock him in the basement. It would have been detrimental to him.
"Let's walk back now. You have run around enough."
Despite the shock, Tony's desire to stay out remained.
"No! I'm not coming. And no matter what your'e trying to claim, I don't think that locking me up is legal."
Mark grined in corner of his mouth.
"Of course. But I had no choices left. And I have accomplice."
This anounce made Tony swallow. He had not even thought about the existence of accomplices. Besides, he still couldn't accept that Mark was behind this shit. Mark was the last person he would have suspected. But even when Mark was behind it, he didn't want to go back to that dimly lit room. Things would probably have gone the way Mark wanted if the guard, to whom Tony's behavor seemed suspicious, had not sent patrol after him, who now heard all of that and they both took them to the station. This time Tony was believed, although he did not understand how four years had gone to like nowhere and others did not understand how he was still alive. His death had brought so many problems with it, and no one had yet suspected that it was just an insanely skilful play. Mark was interrogated while police officers searched the basement and got Chess's testify against him. Tony finished his affairs faster than Mark, so he could listen to the end of the interrogation.
"Why did you go along with this crazy plan when you knew that if you got caught, you would lose everything?"
Mark seemed deadly serious when he answered, and there was no sign of nervousness in him.
"' Cause I knew the future. And I was not going to get caught. This what happened was unexpected and should have never been even a slim chance. That plan was perfect to the point where the hypnose ran out."
At the same time, the remaining members of 3nds reached the place. They had no idea that Tony was alive, and their expressions reminded him of the dry fish when they saw him.
"Please tell me I'm not the only one who sees him."
That sentence fully told Tony how well Mark had managed to falsify his death. He did not intend to forgive Shineski for anything no matter what he will say to justify his actions. Forgiveness seemed completely outside of Tony's world. He had lost everything because of Mark. His life, four years of memories and voice. It had been idle for so long that it was completely gone. At the moment, he could only feel anger and incomprehension, but seeing his bandmates, whose faces clearly showed what time had done to them, he felt great. Because they had longed for his peculiar being, and seeing him alive, brought this moment a smile and tears to their faces.
"Yeah. One nap and world can go grazy. I'm not going to do this ever again. And I don't think it would ever be something you can pull out twice. But I'm just happy to be in the party again and not the dead at outside."
Chess told that to his bandmembers while drifting to sleep. World was almost normal again and the tireness cicked in. But while he was still sleeping, others could see that little smile.
End...
And I'm not going to tell you who was the accomplice and how they pulled that plan out. Figure it out yourselves. Everything you need to find it out is in the story already.
