Flashback to Yesterday EveningI fell onto my bed back first staring at the ceiling letting out a light sigh.
That's when I heard the doorbell rang. I had a long day at work — I work at a cafe just down the street from here. This town was quite small.
Landow.
That was the name of the town.
About 2 minutes go by and the doorbell rings again. I sigh and get up, darting my eyes toward the other side of my bedroom. Why wasn't anyone answering the door?
I ran down the stairs and opened the door to see a boy with blonde hair and blue eyes standing there looking at the ground while the rain had just started pouring down.
"Another one of Williams friends I'm guessing?" I spoke avoiding to look at the boy who stood in front of me. William was my brother. He always had people coming over.
I heard a laugh come from the blonde haired boy.
"Hm?" I then looked at him while he raised his head to look at me.
"I guess you didn't recognize me..." he rubbed the back of his neck with his hand while I finally saw his face.
I was speechless. This wasn't the boy I had grown up with for the past 5 years now.
"A-Armin? Holy shit you look-" I cut myself off before embarrassing myself. I had never seen Armin with short hair before. I could finally see his entire face for once.
He did a small laugh and put his hand out. "Your brother left this at my house earlier today." It was his phone. I raised my eyebrows and took it. "Why didn't you let yourself in? You always do." I muttered.
"Hey, I only let myself in when I know Will is home... and he's not. Speaking of which, pretty sure he's at some girls house- I don't know how he could have forgotten that thing though. He's practically obsessed with it." Indicating that thing as my brothers phone.
There's something I should say about my brother. He was a player, and one heck of one. He was always with a girl — and it wasn't the same one, not once. He was captain of the basketball team, so y'know, girls being girls would always hit on him. Especially those filthy cheerleaders. Ugh.
"Thanks Armin, would you like to come in?" I was starting to get chilly as the rain fell down harder. I moved to the side of the door to make room for him to walk in.
It took him a second to respond, but in doing so he nodded and walked in.
I shut the door behind him and crossed my arms.
"You look good- I... I mean your hair. Your hair looks good- you uh..." I gave up talking. What was happening? It had felt like something was stuck in my throat.
He just smiled and gave a simple "thank you" to me. I watched him take his jacket off and hang it up. He walked over to the living room and sat down on the couch turning the tv on.
I smiled. Armin and William used to hang out every day. To the point where Armin learned to accept to make himself at home every time he came over. He was very polite, which was nice because I absolutely despised all of Williams other friends.

I was Williams younger sister, only by a year though. This was his senior year in high school... along with Armin. They had met 5 years ago when Armin had first moved here. He grew up with abusive parents and was finally put into a foster home which was just a few blocks away from our house. I just remember Will bringing Armin home the first day they had met, he really brought the shyness out of Armin over the past few years. I was proud to be able to hang out with them all the time. Until high school hit and William no longer wanted to hangout with a "bratty little sister" of his. So no, I haven't really hung out with Will and Armin together in awhile.

"Would you like a tea or something?" I asked.
