Get Hyped People!

I feel as though I have attracted many people here who simply wish to cringe. Well, if you are one of these people consider yourself lucky because the first chapter of this book is a poem I wrote for school as a thirteen year old. Feel free to rip it shreds in the comments. Yes, It is a love letter... from the moon to the earth.

Dear Earth,

You might feel I am always looking down on you

You might say that I am very dense

You might wonder why I can never leave you

 My life revolves around you

Earth, you are my everything

With Your oceans true and blue

Your lush forests like fine streaks of emerald paint

clouds coming over you with artful strokes

On the canvas of your tired, dusty crust

Don't think that I only care for how you look

Don't believe that I don't see your many layers

Don't wonder why I only come out at night.

I love you to your inner core

To me, you are as hot as the sun.

And more mysterious than Gemini's lore

As you are blind to the darkness; I am blind to light

Living in our own worlds from which we cannot leave

Do you see how we can fight destiny?

Maybe we are part of an endless orbit

Maybe we are nothing in the vast sea of space

Maybe we aren't meant to be in love

Don't fear fate, my love it is inescapable

 Eventually, everything will end

But until then I will be here trying to be brave with you

The world might not see us when it looks into the horizon

Just as we cannot see the world when we stare at the stars

But one thing that I can feel, taste, smell, hear or see is love

 But what is love anyway?

 People have different opinions

 Some say Love is life

Others feel that Love is power

 Some believe Love is Dreams

But I believe you are love, Earth

And you have stolen my heart

Sincerely,

The Moon
