I was finally wrapping up with a song I had made with Namjoon. We put the finishing touches on it and hi-fived.
"Yes!!!" we yelled together as we sat back in our chairs.
"Sohyun, you did it," Namjoon said with a smile.
"WE did it mister," I said as I poked him. I looked at my watch.
4:00pm
"Got somewhere to go?" Namjoon asked me. I nodded and pulled out a small box. I opened it and showed the watch I had bought Jungkook for our two week dating anniversary. It was all black and 'JK' encrusted in the middle.
"It's our two weeks," I smiled. Namjoon awed at the watch.
"That's damn fashionable, Sohyun. You have an eye for fashion and ears for music," he replied. I shook my head.
"Never as talented as you in music," I said. I had shot Jungkook a text to meet me downstairs about 30 minutes ago but it looked like he hadn't seen it. I frowned.
"What's wrong?" Namjoon asked me. I showed him my phone.
"No response," I replied. He sat back in his chair and thought.
"He might be in his studio working on something. You know how focused he gets," Namjoon said. I sighed.
"He needs to take care of himself and take a damn break," I said as I grabbed my bag and stood up. Namjoon chuckled.
"We've been saying the same thing for YEARS, Sohyun. So good luck," he said. I waved before exiting his studio.
Should I pick up some food for Jungkook first?
I looked at my phone again.
Nah, I made him wait long enough already.
I headed towards Jungkook's studio and stopped abruptly when I heard his laughs and a girl's giggles coming from the studio.
Stop being paranoid, Sohyun. Maybe it's a staff or something.
I knocked on the door before a 'Come in' was heard. I opened the door and saw a girl with her arms around the top of Jungkook's chair as he sat in it giggling with her. She was about my height, maybe a tad taller. She wore a sundress and her skin was definitely sun-kissed. Her brown hair made her look beautiful. I gulped as I walked in. Jungkook paid no attention to me until I stood a few feet beside them.
"Oh, Sohyun!" He greeted me. The girl looked at me with a smile. She had dimples and golden brown eyes to compliment her hair.
She looks like a damn model.
"Hey Jungkook! And you are?" I asked politely. Jungkook stood up and pulled the girl to meet me.
"Sohyun, this is May, my childhood friend. May, this is Sohyun, my girlfriend," he said with a smile. May gasped and hugged me.
"Jungkook told me all about you! You're so pretty," she said as she engulfed me into a hug. I reluctantly hugged back until she released me.
"Hi, May. Uhm Jungkook didn't tell me you were coming," I laughed. She smiled and looked at Jungkook.
"I surprised him, Sohyun. Kookie never knows that I'm coming," she said as she linked arms with him. Jungkook rolls his eyes.
"Only because you never tell me, pabo," he says as he flicks her forehead.
"Ow that hurt," she shoves him. I stood there awkwardly.
"Well uhm Jungkook I wanted to go out for dinner tonight," I said to him. He looked at me and rubbed his neck.
"Ah Sohyun, I kind of promised May that we would go eat out tonight," he confessed.
What the-
I nodded.
"Just you two or like all of Bangtan?" I asked.
"Normally it's just us when she comes, but Bangtan and you could join us as a group thing," Jungkook says. May pouts and pulls his arm.
"Kookie, we always eat together," May says. Jungkook rolls his eyes.
"Aigh spoiled brat. I gotta make space for other people in my life too," he says . May giggles.
"Let's go to our store before dinner!" May bounces up and down.
What is she? A two-year old?
"Fine, May," Jungkook grabs his bag and looks at me with a smile.
"I'll text Bangtan the address of the restaurant. Meet there at 7pm?" he asked me. I nodded with a smile. "Great," he kisses me before leaving with May. I stood there in Jungkook's studio. Alone. Then I got a grip of myself and stormed into Namjoon's studio. Namjoon looked at me in surprise.
"What happened to date night with Jungkook?" he asked me as I huffed and sat in a chair across from him.
"WE are all eating dinner together," I say in annoyance.
"We?" he asks.
"Yes, WE! Bangtan, me, and May," I groan. Namjoon rolls his eyes.
"May is in town? Damn, better postpone your two-week anniversary until she leaves," he said. I raised an eyebrow at him.
"I know why I should be saying that, but why are you saying that?" I asked him. He turned his chair to face me.
"May a.k.a. Little-miss-annoyance, hogs Jungkook's time whenever she's in town. She shows up out of the blue for however long she wants before disappearing again. Since no one knows how long she is staying for, somehow Jungkook ends up spending most of his time with her. Rehearsals, run-throughs, recordings, everything has been postponed sometimes just because May was in-town," Namjoon explains.
"She sounds like a total bitch," I exclaim. He chuckles.
"Yeah I should have warned you about her, but it's irrelevant until she actually shows up," he shrugs.
"Has anyone in Bangtan tried to, like I don't know, get his back on schedule?" I ask. Namjoon sighs.
"We try, but she's Jungkook's childhood friend. That title alone gives her all the power," he said.
"But have you ever sat him down and talked to him?" I asked.
"I did once; I'm not sure about the others. He just kept saying that May is always so busy so it's rare that they spend time together," he rests his head in his hands. "And I was going to try recording some things with him soon," he muttered.
Oh hell no. This bitch waltzes in and disrupts schedules like a princess. Someone has to put her in her damn place.
"Namjoon, I need you to try something at dinner tonight if this doesn't work," I said.
