21: Now and Forever

The door to the meeting room unlocks, and the two trapped guys look at who is entered. They both look away when they see the maknae enter the room; the door shutting behind him.

"Hyungs," Jungkook croaks out. He felt like crying just by seeing his two hyungs in front of him. Namjoon stares at the wall beside him, collecting his thoughts. Yoongi, however, decides to start a conversation- rudely.

"Don't call me hyung, Jungkook. You burned that bridge at dinner," he said coldly. Jungkook swallowed the lump in his throat and stepped towards the meeting table.

"Hyungs, I'm so sorry. I was stupid. I-I was blind. I didn't listen like a stupid teenager," Jungkook said through his tears. Yoongi couldn't bear to look at Jungkook crying, so he looked at Namjoon who was deep on thought. Silence crept up on the trio, but then something broke it. Namjoon stood up and slammed his hand onto the table, startling Jungkook and drawing Yoongi's attention to Namjoon's expression.

"What do we mean to you, Jungkook?" The leader said calmly with his head facing down.

"You're both my brothers, my mentors. Bangtan is my family. And namjoon hyung is my inspiration," Jungkook replied. Namjoon huffed and looked at Jungkook.

"Really? It doesn't seem like it every time May is around?" He says through his gritted teeth. Jungkook cries, he doesn't know how to convince his hyungs. He walks in front of the leader and kneels down. Yoongi raises his eyebrow, while Namjoon intently watches. Jungkook gets on his knees and looks at his two hyungs.

"Please forgive me. I was wrong. I-I turned May away that night. I told her that I didn't want to see her if this was going to happen again. I told her that I have a life. A life that is better than her. Bangtan, Sohyun, just everything. I-I left her and stayed in a hotel room. I tried to reach out to Namjoon hyung, Yoongi hyung, anyone. Then I messaged Sohyun and told her how I wanted to apologize," Jungkook sobbed. Their hearts stung.

"I love Bangtan more than myself. You all have supported me through everything and raised me. I don't want to throw this away. Please forgive me. Don't let me sign the contract. Please hyungs, please," Jungkook begged them as he sobbed and fell into a prayer position at his leader's feet. Namjoon and Yoongi realized that they were crying at the maknae's confession. They touched the tears on their faces and looked at each other. Namjoon sighed as he knelt down and enveloped Jungkook into a hug. Jungkook sobbed in his leader's arms. Namjoon rubbed his hand down Jungkook's back trying to calm him. Even Yoongi knelt beside the leader. Jungkook tore away from Namjoon and hugged Yoongi tightly. Yoongi hugged the maknae and smiled.

"We forgive you, Jungkook," Yoongi says as Jungkook's sobs calm down. Jungkook looks at Yoongi and Namjoon with wide eyes.

"Really?" He asks them. Namjoon chuckles and nods.

"It was stupid, but I think we can get over it," he smiles, showing his dimples. Jungkook wipes his tears and shows his bunny smile off. The door flies open and the rest of the boys file into the meeting room with me following behind. The duo pull Jungkook up and the band has a group hug. I smile and grin at the wonderful moment in front of me.

I knew this would work.

The boys release Jungkook who is wiping his tears away and smiling at his members.

"Nice to have you back Kook," Taehyung says as he ruffles his hair. Jungkook's smile widens as he sees me a few feet behind the group. We lock eyes and he rushes towards me and picks me up. I squeal as he lifts me into the air. Once my feet hit the floor, he gave me a kiss.

"Thank you," he says to me.

"Always," I say as I kiss his nose. We turn to the band with Jungkook's arm wrapped around my waist.

"Oooo JK~" they tease us.

"Oh hush," he says to them.

"So who came up with this plan?" Yoongi asks the group as we head towards the elevator. Jin, Jimin, Taehyung, and Hoseok point at me. Namjoon raises his eyebrows.

"Really?" He asks. They nod.

"My baby did all of this, and I am eternally thankful," Jungkook says as he gives me a squeeze and kisses my cheek.

"Props to you Sohyun. Bangtan owes you our family," Namjoon says with a laugh. I shook my head.

"She's already apart of the family, Namjoon. Jungkook just has to marry her and it's in stone," Jin says. I blush and Jungkook quiets down his hyungs.

"Ayy don't tease us. You're just jealous because you're all lonely," Jungkook says as he sticks his tongue out.

"Aish this maknae," Jimin says as he tries to grab Jungkook. Jungkook takes off with Jimin and Taehyung pursuing. I shake my head as everyone laughs.

"We are family. Now and forever," I say with a grin as the boys run down the stairs.
