•Chapter 1|eye-la•
This is Ayla. Pronounced eye-la. Don't pronounce it wrong please. In my lifetime, I have heard A-la, Aheela, and more. Just don't get it wrong. But anyway, my personality isn't the smartest and if you're wondering why I am writing this book... well, lets just say I came upon quite the discovery the other day. A discovery that could change my life! But it all started when I walked into my 7th grade class on a Tuesday...
"Hi Ayla!", screams Ashley from across the room. Everyone stares like I just stole the most prized possession of the president. It's awkward. I hate when people stare. I don't like drawing attention to myself either. I walk down the long aisle to my seat and it seems like it takes forever. I slunk into the seat behind Ashley. Of course, the first thing she says is "I love your outfit!". Its like her personal saying. Not to mention she looks like its prom today. She is always gorgeous. She has really pretty blond hair and is not afraid to call all the people in the rooms attention to her. That is the problem... I on the other hand, have brown hair and hazel eyes. Not the most usual thing, but hey. It's God's gift. But enough about me. Lets talk about my day. Where was I? Oh yes... Mrs. Claytine's seventh grade class, first hour was walking down the hall to the computer room ready to quiz ourself's for the test tomorrow. And of course, on the way, Clyde Roberts had to come up and flirt with me. Usually it's "did you do your homework", he would say. Then I would say "yes", and he would say he didn't. Then he adds a little "Just kidding!" on the end. But today it was "Watchya doin'?". I replied with "Ummm... going to the computer lab." and that was basically it for that day. Little did I know though, that the next few days were gonna get... Chaotic.
