Cassidy Moore was only seven years old when her parents were declared unfit to raise her. Her mother, Diane, was a drunk and a cocaine addict. She would, and did once, sell Cassidy for some cocaine and whisky. Diane was a stay at home mom and the house was covered with moldy foods and dirty laundry. Her dark brown hair reeked of cigarettes and was matted with hair gels and lotions. Her ebony eyes were cheap and cold.
However, Cassidy's dad was golden and pure. He wore his long, wavy, wheat colored hair in a neat ponytail when he went to work, but at home it fell wavy around his bog, muscular, shoulders. He was 6'5 and had large, rolling muscles, but he didn't have one hateful bone in his body. That's why he could not leave her mother when she needed him so desperately. He would come home and try to juggle taking care of her, making dinner, and trying to get her mother in check.
When Cassidy's mother turned violent, her father began looking for a new home for him and Cassidy to live in. However, Mrs. Fitzgerald, Cassidy's teacher at the time, saw the bruises and reported them to Social Services. After three testimonies, five pictures, and proof of her mother being high right there in the court, Cassidy was sent to live with her grandparents.
Cassidy's father was granted visiting rights aand after a request by Cassidy, her mother was told that she was not to have contact with her daughter ever again.
