Chapter 10

A few days later, I have two out of the seven elements come back to me. Cody's trying to help me with electricity. We were topside on the rooftops. I focus my energy and aim two fingers at the target, which is an apple sitting an the ledge of the building.

"Ok, just focus all of your energy, on your fingers," Cody instructed.

I shut my eyes. I made my energy go straight towards my fingers, I jumped when a small spark comes out of my two fingers.

"There you go!" Cody smiles.

I try to keep cool, but excitement takes over. Maybe because I almost got another element...or maybe because the spark sent electricity throughout my body, making me jump. I jumped and hugged Cody, he pressed his lips to mine.

"What's wrong?" I ask, when he pulls away too abruptly.

"Huh? Oh, nothing," he says. I consider asking him about Sophia, but I don't.

I practice a few more times. Eventually, I manage to make a streak of electricity, although it didn't hit the apple.

"Well, at least you made progress," Cody said. He came and sat on the ledge beside me.

"Yeah," I said. I took the apple and started eating it.

"Victoria, do you think Alice's father is still alive?" Cody suddenly asked me.

"He should be," I said after a while, "I mean, otherwise Shredder doesn't have anything to keep you here."

"I guess you're right, but there is something here I could stay for," Cody leaned towards me and we kissed. It lasted a while.

"Ugh, would you two lovebirds take it somewhere private?" A voice said.

"Raph!" I pulled away from Cody. The turtles were all there.

"You coming to patrol?" Leo asked me.

"Yeah," I grabbed katana and placed it in its scabbard.

"I'll see you guys later," Cody said. He left and I turned back to the turtles.

We ran across the rooftops. As I ran I kept thinking about what Cody said, he could stay here, doesn't mean he will. I ran into a vent.

"Ow," I groaned rubbing my head.

"What's up? You seem distracted," Mikey stopped and asked me.

"It's nothing, Mikey," I said standing up. Mikey crossed his arms.

"What's going on?"

"Mikey, just drop it," I said.

"C'mon, dudette, you can tell me," Mikey said, "pleeeasse?"

"Ok, fine. There was a rumor going around that the mayor was going to make video games and skateboarding illegal" I lied.

"We have to do something!" Mikey cried out.

"They said that if we annoy Raph they won't make it illegal," I grinned.

"Then what are we waiting for!" Mikey ran towards the guys.

When I caught up, I saw Mikey poking Raph's head. Raph who was leaning against a door looked annoyed.

"Mikey! Quit it!" Raph yelled.

Mikey looked at me and I nodded. He kept on poking Raph's head. Raph looked like he was about to flip. Then he quickly grabbed Mikey's hand and flipped him forward.

"Ohhh," Mikey groaned, "did it work?"

"Yeah, Mikey. Thanks to you video games and skateboarding is saved," I laughed.
