"My dad is away." Mirio informs when you enter his place.

"Oh wow. You really meant just us huh?" You responded, with a small chuckle.

"Yeah."

He locks the front door.

"You want anything before we go upstairs?" He offers, heading to the kitchen.

"No, I'm fine."

"I'll be in the shower then."

"I'll be waiting in your room."

You both go upstairs, him to the bathroom, you to his room. You pull out your phone to call Hawks.

What's up?

"I'm staying with Mirio tonight."

Alright. Is he okay?

"No, but it's Mirio, he always pushes through."

I see. Tell him I said sorry for his lost.

"I will. Also he's the head of the Nighteye agency now."

Oh, nice. Do you want to switch back?

"No it's fine. He'll stand by me either way. I believe that."

Okay. Goodnight love. And try not to think about earlier.

"I won't. I'm going to get high and act like it didn't happen. Goodnight, Keigo." You hang up.

"Act like what didn't happen?" Mirio questions, walking in the room with a towel around his waist.

"Nothing."

"I know you said you're going to act like nothing happened, but can you tell me and then act?"

"Let's just say I did something I didn't mean to do, and I don't accept it."

"Okay. I won't push you." He accepts, getting dressed before sitting on his bed. You put your phone down and go to his closet, stealing his clothes.

"You have your own." He complains with a faux pout.

"I know." You say, changing into his clothes before joining him on his bed.
"Have you spoken to your lover?"

"Well.. we're on separation."

"Why?"

"I told him just now in the bathroom actually. I have to focus on living up to the expectations of leading Nighteye's legacy. But don't worry. He understood. He wished me luck and said he'll be waiting. And I don't plan on leaving him. I will get back with him.. just now's not the time to date. I still love him. But I want to honor Nighteye, by not only living up to his lead, but hopefully surpassing him. So that will be my focus. I don't want to neglect Tamaki because I'm drowned in hero duties. I'm sure the leadership comes with a price. There will be paperwork, missions, tasks. So I have to be prepared to dedicate myself."

"Oh I see. Well, as long as nothing's wrong between you 2."

"What about you? You called him just now so I'll assume you're good right?"

"Yeah. We're the same as before."

"How have you handled the rumors?"

"Eh. We ignore them, mainly. If it's not too bad, there's no reason to answer them so we don't."

Mirio nods, before hopping off the bed and going under it. He pulls out a case, that you know holds joints, and edible ingredients. He hands you one and takes one for himself before carefully closing the case and putting it back. You light both of your rolls when he comes back on the bed.
"Hawks knows you do this?"
