Mavria sat in the back of her room, quietly humming a symphony to herself while stroking her cat's fur. "I'd rather not go outside today Sinty, it's only going to make me sick," she mumbled. The cat replied with a low purr, lazily blinking back at her owner. Mavria sighs," I don't have a choice..." She got out of her small chair and slowly walked out of the room, trailing her finger across the golden 'D' imprinted on the arm of the chair. Mavria was tired and was reluctant to leave the pale room, filled with luxurious furnishings and childish trinkets that were all covered in a light layer of dust. She wanted to stay longer, but she knew that it wouldn't be wise to revisit such painful memories. Mavria was planning to go to Mr. Linden's workshop. He had been a close friend of her parents and wanted to give her a gift they had left behind long ago. She had met him once, but it was a very long time ago. 'A better time, when I could smile more.'

Mavria had walked into the hallway by now, the cold marble floor sending chills into her bare feet. She found the manor insufferable, especially the blank floors. They only brought back the nostalgic joy that could never be returned. She continued to walk down the hall to the twin staircases. They were both curved in the same inward direction and length. To save time, she slides down on the railing, Sinty running down the stairs after her. The cat never used to leave the house, but ever since the manor became more of a hollow hole than a home, it feels that it has to protect Mavria from the world and herself. They had gotten down the stairs to the door. Mavria slipped on her black tap shoes and hesitantly reached for the door handle, hands shaking once she finally grabbed it. "Guess there's no going back now ?"She turns to her small furry friend. Meeeooowww. Mavria sighs, "That's a no...might as well get it over with."

She exits the door with the wind dancing around her, whisking her cobalt gray dress and raven pigtails to the east. The sun warmed her pale skin, a small smile peeking through the shadow of her blank demeanor. Maybe it won't be such a bad idea to go outside today.
