Hospital

You bite your nail as you wait for the doctor to come back with the results.

"Y/n!" You hear a familiar voice. You turn and saw Eric walking up to you. You looked at him like he was crazy. What the hell is he doing here?

"I heard what happen, are you alright?" Eric asked.

"You're the last person I want to see right now." You said, pointing at him. "How did you even know I was here?"

"Rachel told me she was going to talk with you at your old job so she followed you. Mr. Yuki called me and told me he heard gunshots and saw your car drive off." Eric said. You looked at him, tearing up as he wrapped his arms around you. You cried on his chest as he patted your head. "It's okay, I'm here for you."

You were mad that you allowed him to touch you again, but you were too sad to even think about it. He carried you to the chair and sat with you; holding your hand as he whispers in your ear. "I'm here for you, baby. I'm here for you."

"Y/n?" You turned around and instantly got up. You walked over to him, holding his hands.

"Jake, please tell me she's alright." You asked, praying to the lord.

"She's alright, but she has lost a lot of blood." Jake said. "You can see her now."

"Thank you, Jake." You were about to into the room until he grabbed your hand. "What is it?"

"Are you okay, isn't that your ex?" He whispered.

"Y-yeah, he came here to comfort me." You said, looking down. You looked at Eric and he just looked away, knowing he was jealous.

"Please make the right decision." Jake said, letting go of your hand. You smiled, nodding as you walk into the room. Rachel was looking out the window. You instantly started crying and ran up to her, crying on her lap as she patted your head.

"It's okay, I'm here." She said.

"This is all my fault, I'm so sorry."

"You had nothing to do with this. It's okay."

You grabbed a chair and sat next to Rachel as you lay your head down on her lap. You cried on her lap until you fell asleep.

You slowly woke up, hearing people talking in the room. You didn't open your eyes, listening to their conversation.

"You know how much I love her, why can't you just accept the fact I love her more than you."

"No Eric, stop lying to yourself. The reason why you dated her was for her money and me. You're just the same person I met at high school." Rachel said.

"Like you're Ms. Goody Two Shoes, she's your best friend."

"But you cheated on her."

"With you, since you started working for her as her personal assistant. Tell me Rachel, what is the real reason you're always around her?"

"Because-"

Suddenly, the door knocked; interrupting their conversation. You felt hurt. You have been lied to. Why is life so unfair?
