Chapter 7: Best Friend

"Oh! Wake up, you alcohol reek!" naramdaman kong niyuyugyog ako ng kung sino kaya nagtakip ako ng kumot. "Shanice, wake up!" I groaned as I can feel Shaun slapping my back. "Cazzo, Shanice, wake up!" inis kong tinanggal ang eye mask ko at tiningnan siya ng masama.

"What the hell, Shaun?!"

"You look so devastated," umiling siya. "Bumangon ka na, mage-enroll tayo." I wore my eye mask again and laid down on my bed.

"What are you saying? Your mother already enrolled us yesterday," walang ganang sabi ko.

"Our mother... and I should be the one asking you what you are saying. Binawi niya, sabi niya bahala na raw tayo sa buhay natin." Hindi pa rin ako kumibo. Nanatili akong nakapikit at nakahiga. "I also opposed the idea of going to the element-something university. Because I want to go to Villamonte University." Tss, wala naman kaming magagawa kung yun ang gusto ni Mom. Sa Gallium daw kami, edi doon. "Ano? Hindi ka pa rin gagalaw d'yan? Iiwan na kita," I quickly rouse of my bed and removed my mask. I looked at him and saw his wet hair, he's also wearing his purple v-neck shirt and pants.

"Bakit ngayon mo lang ako ginising?!" I asked,

"Kanina pa kita ginigising, kaso nahimbing ka ata ng Soju at red wine mo." He shook his head while clicking his tongue. "Bilisan mo!"

"Oo na!" I ran as fast as I could to go inside my bathroom.

While I am on my way down the stairs, nakasalubong ko si Mom. She was going upstairs and I am going to the kitchen to have my breakfast. I halted, I looked at her and saw her wearing a white buttoned front long sleeve blouse tucked inside her khaki pencil cut skirt ending centimeters above her knee and a white stilettos, she was putting on her fancy and good-looking dangling earrings.

I tested if she will talk to me but she just walk past me without even glancing at me. What do I expect? Halos lahat naman ng oras, parang hangin lang kami sa kanya, even Dad. Psh!

I rolled my eyes while going down. I am wearing a simple powder pink sleeveless blouse, black fitted jeans and black pair of ankle boots. I just did a half up, half down dutch braid on my hair and put on simple stud earrings.

"Good morning, baby!" Daddy said, he was seated on the couch while having his black coffee. I smiled and went close to him to give him a peck on the cheek.

"Good morning, Dad!" well, nasanay na naman akong bine-baby ako ni Dad. He spoiled me so much but he still sticks into his principles. Sinusupil pa rin ako kapag may mali, which is I understand. Hindi katulad ni Mom na tama naman ginagawa ko, mali pa rin sa kanya.

"You're going to enroll?" he asked, I nodded and sat beside him.

"Yup, Villamonte University." I grinned, tipid naman siyang ngumiti.

"That is our Alma Mater," he said, which I know because when we were young, he loved telling Shaun and I the stories of him and how he met Mom.

"Yeah, that's why I want to go there too." I said,

"Hmm, just keep your studies good, I will let you go there." He nodded his head, "Nga pala, kumain ka na. Amy's there with your kuya, they were already having their breakfast."

I nodded and went inside the dining room where Shaun's filling his sandwich with Nutella while Amy's eating her meal.

"Good morning!" Amy greeted me with foods stuffed in her mouth, I just smiled and nodded. "Makikikain, ha? Nag-away kasi sila Mama at Papa, kaya hindi nagsaing si Mama."
