I never assumed that my actions would have consequences. I know that sounds stupid but up here, laws would bend, and bend they would at my hand. Being a Danielles, I had power. My family was the most respected among the nobility, aside from the royal family. I've always been a bit of a rebel, causing trouble here and there. But karma caught up with me during my biggest scheme yet.

I smirked to myself, "Oh yeah, this is gonna be good."

"You know, I'd ask what your doing, but I have a feeling I already know." I spun around to the oddly familiar voice. Standing in front of me was Marie Leiden, my best friend.

"Oh haha. And yes you do know, I've only been talking about it for months. So are you ready?"

"As ready as I'll ever be. I wouldn't be surprised if karma finally caught up to you tonight." I scoffed.

"I've always been ten steps ahead of karma. I won't get caught. Not tonight, not ever."

"Whatever you say, so where to?"

"Hmm, probably Forten Alley. I've got a contact that's dropping some supplies there for me"

Marie rolled her eyes. She picked up on my emphasis on supplies knowing full well what I meant. My contact was none other than the largest outlaw, Avery John. Avery had a special talent for over the top pranks. He and I have been friends for years until he had to go on the run due to pranking the princess, Kenna Lynn. He had what I needed tonight, I was going after my long term rival Kelsey Aston.

Kelsey absolutely hated anything girly. Such as dresses, glitter, heels, pink, jewelry, and makeup. I just so happened to hate all the same things, but I put up with them for my families name. The Aston's would be right up there with my family if it wasn't for Kelsey. Sadly her family cast her out because of this and she was living on the under part of the city. With the "peasants" or so my family called them.

Marie and I drove down to Forten Alley to meet with Avery. Marie dropped me off because she didn't want to get caught. A part of me wished I had changed my mind and gone with her that day. Not long after she drove off did Avery come and surprise me. I'm not one for surprises so I spun around and punched him square in the nose. I missed. He caught me again and brought me farther into the alley.

"Avery! Don't do that, I could have actually hurt you!" I said, Avery smirked.

"Well hello to you too. I've got what you wanted but we have to go quick. The patrol schedules changed cause they got a tip I was here."

"Lynn. She must have heard me talking to Marie earlier and tipped off the patrols. Oh well, let's make this quick. Whatcha got for me?"

As Avery reached into his bags we were stunned. We both fell to the ground as the patrol guards came rushing towards us. They cuffed our hands behind our back and lifted the paralyzer with an anti paralytic. Avery cursed under his breath as his brown curls fell in front of his eyes. I was whipped into the car and Avery was thrown in next to me.
