If Odette hadn't been dreaming of Johnny Depp, she would not have been angry for having woken up due to the loud boom of thunder that night. She savored the last moments with Johnny before unfortunately waking up. Her bedsheets had been all jumbled and she got even angrier having to shake herself out of them.
"Stupid-" She cussed in between kicks, "Fucking..." More struggle. "Blanket."
She sat up, rubbed her eyes and got up from her bed. The other girls were sleeping soundly so she chose not to bother them. In the dim lights of the Gryffindor dormitory, Odette began walking down the stairs. She took careful steps as she still couldn't see clearly, but her eyesight cleared up the moment she saw his fiery red hair.
"Why are you up so late, George?" She asked, walking closer to the couch in front of the fireplace, where George was sitting.
"Couldn't sleep." He shrugged, patting the empty space next to him.
"The thunder?" She sat down, looking at him.
"No, not the thunder." He smiled, looking at her."Hey, how did you know it was me?"
"I hardly see how people get you and Fred confused. I could pick you out even if there were a thousand fake Georges near you."
"How?"
"You've got something about you, Georgie. I don't know what it is."
George smiled, looking away.

"Why are you up, anyway?" He asked, starting to lay down on her lap, where she would then reach her hand over and play with his hair.
"Well, I was having a pretty steamy time with Johnny Depp," He hit her knee when she said that, "In my dream," She pulled his hair, they both laughed. "and then it thundered, so I came down here. And I was in luck."
Her mind wandered to Cedric, who would undoubtedly misread the situation completely if he saw George on her lap. Cedric did not know of the calm and comfort George's presence brought to Odette. He never would.
"What is up with you?"
"What do you mean?" George laid on his back, so he was now facing her.
She poked his nose, "You're all melancholic. What's up? Tell me."
George grabbed her hand and began playing with her fingers, "Nothing's up. I've been preoccupied with thoughts of mystery girl."
"Will you ever tell me who she is?"
"Will you ever be with Johnny Depp?"
"Hey!" She hit him. "You don't know that! I am a pretty girl; I so have a chance!"
George laughed, "Pretty girl, indeed."
Odette looked away because she did not want George to see the shade of deep red he had made her cheeks turn.

"What do you like about her, anyway? I mean, you could get any girl at all, George! And I've seen you do it. What is it about her that you like?"
"You're gonna make me sound sappy."
"I'll answer any of your questions."
George sighed, "Well, I love that she is stubborn. I love her laugh, despite her claims that it's terrible. I like how funny she is. I like that she has not given into me easily, but at the same time it frustrates me. I love her eyes. I like that her nose scrunches when she smiles. I like her, Dette." He looked her in the eye, "Everything about her. I always have."
"She sounds like such a bitch." Odette laughed. Whoever George was describing, she envied. Not once had someone spoken like this about Odette. And she hated that she was not the one George's words were for, not matter the fact that she did not like him.
"Quite the opposite." He reached for her cheek. "Alright, my turn. Why Cedric?"

Odette stopped and thought for a second. Why Cedric? "He and I have always been close. And honestly, George, who could not have a crush on him? He's charming, honest, strong, protective. He is everything a girl could want..." She faltered.
"But...?"
"There are no buts, Georgie." She responded quickly. She would not let any buts grow in between their relationship. Cedric was perfect. She loved Cedric.
"If you say so." His hand dropped.
"Isn't it beautiful?" She asked.
"What?"
"The fire."
"It quite is." George responded, but his eyes remained on Odette, never drifting toward the fire. "I know Lee's mad at us, but I have an incredible idea."
"What is it?" She beamed at the thought of pissing Lee off once more.
"Do you know any spells to make a human being levitate?" Odette nodded to his question. "Awesome. So Fred and Lee are both terribly heavy sleepers, right?" Another nod. "Let's put your brains to use and make them sleep outside."
"George you evil evil bitch! I love it!" She waited for George to get off her lap and once he did she mised the warmth of his head.
