Complicated Love

Chapter 2

As I walked into the cafeteria I spotted Katie and my other friends Lori and Cindy sitting together at our usual spot ''Hey girls.'' I say in a calm voice. ''hey Maze'' they answered.

''have you guys heard...apparently our schools Mr. Hot broke up with Meghan in front of the everyone.'' Cindy gossiped, when I heard this I looked up and raised an eyebrow at them. ''seriously!'' Lori exclaimed, ''those two were dating each other for a long time'' Lori continued, ''did you guys know?'' she asked Katie and I.

''no we didn't it's not like it's my business in the first place'' I respond in a 'not caring' tone. I did not care weather Ryder got a new girl friend or girl friends, He is only one person to me which is my brother's bestfriend, my crush on him is long gone and is history, so I have never been interested in any news concerning him. God just hearing his name made me disgusted. Speaking of disgusted earlier when he mentioned the party I was upset, because back when I was at a party thrown by my lovely brother Ben,
I walked in on Ryder making out with a girl in my bro's room, when I left 15 minutes later and entered the room again I caught him making out with a totally different girl. everywhere I went the same scenario kept repeating itself.

It kinda stung back then because Ryder was never like that.....he wasn't such a jerk, cheat or a playboy.....he was just.....Ryder, the cute and sweet Ryder I knew so well, or at least that's what I  thought I knew... but after all... everyone will change in time.... including me. He changed too...after he left to visit his aunt a year ago...everyone has changed..

''Earth to mazieland'' Lori called out then both Katie and Cindy chimed in. ''huh-u-uh yea..?'' I replied unsurely. I can't believe I spaced out thinking about Ryder.

"You okay girl?" Katie asked, "you're rather spaced out...?"  she asked worriedly.

I made a small smile and responded faintly before changing the topic. " yea am okay...just tired. And am thinking about my date with Luke tomorrow." I continued as the thought of my date with my boyfriend tomorrow made me smile.

"Ooohhh Ugh I thought that today would have been a day without your PDA, where is he by the way?" Lori asked.

"Yea I haven't seen him either." Katie added

"Probably planning the date" Cindy thought out loud, causing us to stare at her

"hmmm maybe." I said, don't mind me, I like Luke but he knows I dislike surprises, I hope he doesn't do anything unexpected.

A few minutes after the bell rang and we all packed up and walked to our lockers. I picked up my book and headed to my classroom I have History in that period with my boyfriend, Lori has Spanish with Katie  and Cindy has English.

I walked down the hall towards my history class as I entered I noticed that Luke wasn't in our seat as usual, he wasn't in class either. I sighed and found my way to my seat waiting for our teacher to come in.
