Mireille always felt so numb inside, as if there was something missing. But she couldn't quite put her finger on it. Mireille was usually alone for the most part. She didn't quite fit in with the rest of her family or even fit in the crowd. She was like that one puzzle piece that just didn't quite fit. No one really bothered to talk to her so she spent most of her time in solitude. Although she was alone, it was quite peaceful for her. Because at least she had herself, the only one who understands her. Although deep down, she was very lonely but she paid no mind to it, after all it's not like she could do anything about it. Although her mother gave her some comforting words once. She said "I used to be like you, sweetheart. But one day, that void you have will dissipate and you will find the thing you're searching for. You may not know what it is yet but when the time is right, you will know." And she gave her the most sincere smile even though her words were so vague.

"I finally know now what she meant."
