"Blaze!"

I called out, entering the small cozy house that belonged to my best friend Blaze. Today was Valentines day and since we both despised the holiday and we're both single we'd figured we'd spend it together.

"In here Silver!"

I heard her voice call out, I turned a corner and entered the kitchen. She had her nose in a cook book, I took a look around the kitchen and gave a whistle.

"Wow Blaze, whats going in here?" I said half chuckling as I carefully stepped over a bag of flour. Not wanting to trip and die. She looked up and placed her hand on her hip and gave me an annoyed look.

"Im trying to cook..Duh" she said wiggling the book in my face

"Oh I thought you were trying to burn the house down" I said

She shot me a death glare and growled

I laughed

"okay okay okay" I said raising my hands up in defence

"Here let me help" I said walking over to her and taking the book out of her hand

"So what exactly were you trying to make?" I asked wondering

"Well this was supposed to be a chicken.." she said

We both looked down at the..umm chicken..which actually looked more like..well to be blunt I dont know what it looked like. Certainly not a chicken.

I looked up and looked at her face, and she looked at me. I tried to hold in my laughter but it was getting harder by the second. She raised an eyebrow and narrowed her golden eyes.

"Silver..dont you dare" She said warning in her voice

"Okay..." I said holding in my laughter

I was getting red and all of a sudden i burst into a fit of laughter, I clutch my stomach and bang my fist on the counter

"Blaze! Oh my gosh! Im sorry I cant!" I said threw my laughter

she crossed her arms and tapped her foot in annoyance, after what seemed like a decent amount of time laughing I wiped my eyes, wiping away the non-exsistent tears.

"okay..i think Im done" I said

She gave a huff

"Good." she said  "Well there goes dinner" she said sadely

I put my arm on her shoulder and gave her a small smile. I know she tried her best, and I adored her for that.

"Dinner is overrated anyways" I said trying to make her feel better

She was still looking pretty glum about the whole thing.

"Hey! I have something way better anyways!" I said cheerily

She perked up a little

"Like what?" she asked

I grabbed her hand and led her out of the kitchen, and we walked into the living room. I sat her on the couch and sat across from her.

"Okay" I said "Close your eyes"

She gave me a confused look

"Just do it, trust me" I said

She sighed   "okay fine"  and she closed her eyes

I dug into my backpack and grabbed out the delicous looking candy. Blaze and I had never had chocolate, now living in Sonics world we were able to experience and try alot of cool new things. Sonic told me they were good treat to have on Valentines day so I figured why not?
