I knew this was a bad idea... It's one thing to go with a professional, let alone your friends. That's all I could think of as my vision became blurry, air slipping away...

I was so excited as I got into the boat today, but I also had butterflies swarming around my stomach, making me nervous. Splash! Water spat on my face, creating a row of laughter from my friends.
"Which way, Emma?" Called out Charlie.
"Uuh... Left at the fork!"
Her voice was nervous so I was unsure about her decision, at the time. We drifted through the crystal clear water, little fish swimming beneath us. Charlie looked at me, grinning.
"You're not getting sea-sick are you? You're as white as a ghost!"
Emma chuckled silently to herself.
"Of course not!" I retorted.———————————————————
I laid down in the boat, placing my hat beside me. The others seemed so hyped, while I was being the worry-wart of the group. I must of fallen asleep, because when I woke up, the water had become murky, lapping violently at the boat's sides.
"Are we going the right way!?" I shouted nervously.
"I don't think so." Charlie replied, glaring at Emma. I sat up chewing my nails, starting to feel queasy. Looking at the front of the boat u could tell the others were nervous too. I could hear a large fish of water up ahead; and to my horror, a waterfall emerged. We all started to panic, trying to row in the opposite direction.
"It's no use! Hold onto each other!" Screamed Emma.
We latched on, linking arms, the edge racing closer to us.———————————————————
Suddenly, everything went black, water striking my body like lightning. Coming back to my senses, I tried to take a breath, but only water filled my mouth. I scrambled to the surface, air filling my lungs once more. Choking and coughing, I struggled to look around, the water rapids covering my head like a blanket. I could hear Emma's voice but couldn't see her. As I tried swimming to a rock, my heart started to race with fear, and out of nowhere I felt a sharp pain in the back of my head.
———————————————————
Why couldn't I move!? What went wrong? My body felt numb, a tingling sensation going from my fingers right out to my toes. I knew this was a bad idea from the start, it's one thing to go with a professional; let alone your friend's. That's all I could think of as my vision became blurry, air slipping away...
———————————————————
My head felt like a spear had gone through it!
"Nngh! What happened...?"
"Oh my gosh! Your ok!!" Yelped Emma, tears of joy spilling from her eyes.
"The last thing I remember was an angel grabbing me, and then everything went black..?" I mumbled.
I looked up to see Charlie blushing,
"so I'm an angel, am I?"———————————————————
I felt my body turn red and I looked away, before he could see me smiling. Emma told me help was on the way, making me relieved. About 30 minutes later a group of medics appeared, with a tour group. They must have seen the whole thing! We got into the ambulance, looking at each other and smiling.

That was one heck of a raft ride.
