I stepped back to admire my outfit in the mirror. A black and white plaid shirt with my black skinny jeans were an acceptable first day of school outfit. Grabbing my coffee, a slice of toast and my car keys, I'm out the door. I'm so excited to drive my new Audi R8 I got for my birthday. I was secretly hoping Lilian would be so jealous. She is my best friend but still, that doesn't mean I don't have the urge to out do her from time to time. Just as I'm about to pull off in my new car my phone starts ringing.

"Hello?"

"Hey Lexi! Are you at school yet?"

"No, I'm leaving now. I'll see you soon Brianna"

I hung up the phone rolling my eyes. Brianna was a cool girl, but it wasn't cool that she wanted to know where I was every second of everyday. It was annoying but she was really nice so I put up with it. As soon as I parked in the school parking lot, I heard a knock on my window. It was the captin of the football team and my boyfriend Scott Bradley. I climbed out of my car and playfully pushed him. "Don't put smudges on my new ride or I'll have your balls", I said with a smile. "The rides sweet!" he said smiling back. Hand in hand we walked into the school smiling like little kids. I heard Lillian before I saw her, "ALEXIS!", she shrieked as she ran down the hall towards me. A wide grin was plastered to my face. I haven't seen Lillian since the previous school year ended. I wrapped my arms around her and giggled like a school girl.

"I missed you so much!"

Her tanned faced smiled back at me with dancing eyes.

"OMG?! What happened?" I almost shouted at her. Lillian always had this twinkle in her eye's when something big happens.

"I have a new boyfriend!" she practically screamed. I couldn't help notice her smile waiver slightly as she said it.

"but..." I prodded.

"but, nothing!" she said through a face breaking smile. I couldn't help smiling back at her. Grabbing her hand, I dragged her to class so we wouldn't be late. As we stepped into the classs room, we were greeted with a toothy grin from Noah Sky. Noah was hands down one of the hottest guys at our school. We also happened to have hooked up a couple of times just for the hell of it, and because he was a total babe.

"Hey Lillian, Alexis"

"Hey!" we both said in unison

"Here. For you", Noah said handing me a bright blue card that read 'YOU'RE INVITED' in big black bold letters. I waved the card around encouraging him to explain.

"You are invited to my party! It's next friday, my house. Starts at 6 and ends whenever. It's gonna be the party of the year so you have to come", he said proudly. I smiled at Noah but I glanced nervously at Lillian, wondering if she was going to get an invitation too. What happened next took me completely by surprise. Noah leaned over and kissed Lillian right on the lips and said "You are obligated to be at my party. Later babe". I looked after Noah shocked as he winked at Lillian and casually walked away like nothing happened. I raised my eyebrows at Lillian expecting an explination as to what I just saw. Instead she just gave me a shy smile, shrugged and hurried to the back of the room with her face beet red. Yeah, I definetly missed something!
