Chapter Type: One-shot

I've always wanted to write a reverse Charlight story for a while now!

*The reverse au is where Light is the simp and Charli secretly likes Light but, they haven't swap personalities.

In the reverse AU...

Light hasn't got the guts to confess to Charli yet but, Charli already knows he likes her. He makes it so obvious.  If every time he simped gave Charli a dollar, she would be a millionaire. Well, that's an over-exaggeration but, you catch my point. "Hey, squirrel!" Zach waves at Charli with an evil grin. "Uh, hi Za- Wait...WHAT DID YOU CALL ME?! I'M NOT A SQUIRREL!" Charli screams. Normal Light wouldn't back her up but, this one would. "She isn't a squirrel, Zach!" Light protests. "Sure~ Stop being a simp, Light!" "I'm not a simp, Zach! Wait, what's a simp?" Light asks. "You." Zach replies. "Haha! Sorry Light but, it's true." Charli agrees. "I guess I am a simp, even though I don't know what that is..." Light muttered loudly enough for everyone to hear. Charli nervously laughed. "I wish you weren't in love with me because I don't want to see you hurt when I reject you... I don't think I love you..." Charli thought in her mind feeling guilty for when the time comes that she has to reject him.

Later that day, Charli saw Light writing in his diary and, curiosity got the best of her. When Light left to get some water, Charli went over to his desk and started reading. "Dear Diary, I have decided that tomorrow I will confess to Charli. Wish me luck! -Light"... "Oh no..." Charli thought. The day she might make him cry was just around the corner! She had to reject him... She felt terrible that she would have to break a fragile heart. It was around 9 PM so, she went to this magical river. It was heard that there is only a 0.001 percent chance of having your wish come true. There was a problem, you could only wish at the river twice. Charli didn't want to break his heart but then she thought, "I can't reject Light if he doesn't even have a crush on me! So then, nobody's heart gets crushed." Charli didn't believe her wish would come true but she still tried.

"Oh, precious river! You got to help me! Please make my friend Light see me as a friend and nothing else! No! Make him lose and forget his crush on me!" Charli wished as hard as she can. She got up and went home after that. "I hope it worked..." Charli thought. Charli went to sleep and soon enough, it was morning. "Oh no...today's the day..." Charli sighed. She went to the cafe and decided to spy on Light, Zach, and Alex's conversation. "Light...I don't think you should confess to Charli..." Alex said. "Yeah, you idiot. You're gonna get rejected." Zach said while agreeing with Alex. The thing that surprised everyone was that Light looked as if he had no idea what they were talking about. "Me? Crush on Charli? No way!" Light laughed off the thought of having a crush on Charli. Alex and Zach looked so confused. "Light, you liked Charli for a long time and now, your feelings just vanished?: Alex asked.

"I have no clue what you guys are talking about." Light replied. "You told me you were going to write about confessing to Charli in your diary. Maybe check it. (I feel like this is a prank but whatever lol). Zach told Light. Light took out his diary and read his recent page. "Dear Diary, I have decided that tomorrow I will confess to Charli. Wish me luck! -Light". "You guys got to be pranking me. I never wrote this! Nice try!" Light said while laughing. Light looked through his pages of writing how amazing Charli is while Charli pulled Zach and Alex away from Light. "Guys, I know why Light forgot all his feeling for me." Charli tells them. "What happened? Is Light okay?" Alex asks sounding concerned. "Yes! I wished at the magic river for him to forget all his feelings for me! It's a gift! We can finally be just friends!" Charli says sounding excited. "I don't think you made a good choice. It seems to me that you have a secret crush on Light..." Alex replies. "No! I don't! Trust me! This is a gift!" Charli replies to Alex. Alex just says "Okay" but she knows Charli will regret what she did.

A few days went by and, Light just treats Charli as any other squad member. He would usually compliment her but since he doesn't like her anymore, he only complements her when others praise her. He doesn't treat her special anymore. As time goes by, Charli starts to miss how he used to treat her. She regrets making that wish just as Alex predicted. After two weeks of this happening, Charli asked Light, "Light, do you love me?.." "No? I don't love squirrels-" Light replies. I guess his feelings have vanished for good. Charli realized that she loved him all this time and unconsciously, she started to act as Light did. Charli knew she wanted the old Light back and knew what she had to do. At around 9 PM, she went to the magical river. "Oh, precious river! Please reverse my last wish! I regret everything!" Charli pleaded. Soon after that, she went to sleep, and soon it was morning. Charli got a text message that was from Light. It said, "Hey Charli! How are you? Are you okay?😊🥰🥰😍🤪🤪" She felt as the emojis were a bit silly but, she could tell things were back to normal...
