Carter's P.O.V

I watched sadly as the car drove off. I could see Seth in the back, watching me with hate and anger, the hot tears streaming down his face, like a waterfall. It kills me to know my mate is mad at me, but he'll get over it. He'll have to, right? I mean c'mon, I'm his mate... Junior came beside me and placed a comforting hand on my shoulder.

"Lets just get this over with, I think he'll be ok," I nodded slowly and turned to him.

"Ok, how are you going to do this, while he's working, while he's leaving, or when he's at home?" I asked, playing with my phone.

"Lets do it when he's about to leave, for all we know someone could be at home waiting for him."

I nodded but didn't say anything. I thought my adrenaline would be pumping. But instead it's like this hole in my heart. Junior came closer to me and slapped me across my face, I didn't move, well my face did of course. I just stood there like the idiot I am. I should have never even thought about this! For all I know, I could be hurting Seth more.

"Carter!" Junior yelled. "Are you going to fucking man up, or are you going to mope? You wanted this, so follow through with your plan even if you're having second thoughts now. Do it for Seth alright? Do it for your mate."

I nodded and looked at him seriously. "Alright, I just hope I'm not hurting him more..."

"C'mon, let's go."

And with that, we ran towards the back exit, both of us shifting in mid air and running side by side. It's when I was running and shifted, my adrenaline pumped! Juniors white wolf was glossy in the beautiful moonlit night. I found the sent of Alex and followed it, towards the back exit of the building. Once we reached the exit, we sat in the shadows, waiting. Now all we had to do was wait till he came. Him and only him. So everyone else that came, we just ignored and hid ourselves a little more. I was hiding on top of the giant trash can, while Junior hid in the shadow of the sewer nearby. The "ally-like" exit was quite gross. Trash was spilled all over the place, the sewer only made it smell ten times worse. It was nasty and disgusting and awful.

The door opened and I saw and smelled Alex, he was holding his coat while whistling happily. I leaped down from the trash can and growled while walking towards him. Junior came out too and we both began circling and growling at him, in our stalking stances. But he showed no fear.

"Ah, Junior, Carter, what do I owe this pleasure of seeing you again?"

I glanced at Junior and Junior glanced at me. I knew Alex wasn't a werewolf. How did he know it was us? I growled at him and took a step closer, threatening him.

"So I take it you're here for Seth? To get rid of me right?" he paused and smiled at us. "Yes, but that's the thing, did you not see the way he looked at you when he left? Pure hatred. I know you don't really think he'll forgive you, do you? We all know that deep down Seth doesn't hate me."

'Yes he does!' I mind-linked Alex and Junior. 'He even said so himself, he wants you to pay and burn in hell!'

"Oh," Alex teased. "Yes, but we all know he was just caught up in the moment. Don't play dumb Carter! You know the truth no matter how hard you try to ignore it, you cant."

I went to lunge at him, but Junior slowly shifted towards me. He mind-linked me and only me. 'He's just trying to trick you, relax.'

I did just as Junior said and loosened a little. I know, I know the truth. And what Alex is saying, isn't the truth!
