CHAPTER 28

Carla opens her eyes when she can feel that someone is staring at her in her hospital room. "Oppa, are you trying to scare me?" She feels relieve when she sees Jonghyun. "Eomonie? Abhuji?"

Jonghyun smiles. "I let them rest first." He sits beside her. He fondles her hair. "Mianhe if I wake you up."

She frowns when she notices something on his face. "Oppa... What happened to your cheek? Mi Cha did that?" She asks with disbelief in her eyes. She touches his cheek.

Jonghyun holds her hand that is caressing his cheek. He kisses it. "Aishh, she was fuming mad when she found out that I went to your school." He sighs. A heavy one. "I was about to end our relationship when her parents came."

She looks at him with sadness. "Oppa, mianhe if all of these burdens you a lot. I'm really sorry."

Jonghyun pokes her nose. He smiles. "Gwenchana, I can endure this pain as long as you are here beside me. Don't leave me, arasseo?"

She smiles at him. "Ne. I won't leave you anymore oppa."

"Go back to sleep ne? I'll watch over you."

"Ani, let's go to sleep oppa."

"I will when I get sleepy." Jonghyun pats her cheek.

"You promise me that you will sleep okay? Or else, I can't sleep properly." She pouts.

"Ne. I promise." Jonghyun chuckles. He hums a song as he rubs her hair.

A week of not able to see each other and secretly communicating makes Carla misses Jonghyun a lot. They tried to be discreet in communicating as much as possible since Mi Cha is suspecting Jonghyun a lot.

"Boo!" She chuckles when he sees him gets startle. They decided to meet up. "Did you wait long oppa?"

Jonghyun smiles and pulls her to sit beside him. "Aniyo. I miss you so much Carla." He looks at her with longing in his eyes.

She merongs at him. "Nado." She puts a space between them. "Public." She said when she sees him frowning.

"Well, care to explain this, Carla, 'Dy?" Carla stiffens as she hears Mi Cha's high pitch voice behind them. She swallows hard before she turns around with a big smile.

"Mi—Mi Cha! Ughmm..." Sweats start to form on her forehead.

"Carla! There you are! I'm sorry I'm late." Carla blinks her eyes when she sees Joon Ki. What is he talking all about?

Mi Cha raises a brow. "What are you doing here?"

Joon Ki shrugs his shoulders. He holds Carla's hand. "Carla and I are going to have a date. Wae? Something wrong with that?"

Mi Cha looks at Jonghyun. "Then why are you here?"

"Ah... Couz' I saw oppa sitting alone there while I am waiting for Joon Ki oppa so I approached him thinking that it is appropriate to thank him for saving me last week." Carla tries her best to say it without stammering. She can see from the corner of her eyes the sudden change of Jonghyun's mood.

Joon Ki wraps his arm on her shoulder. "Bye to you love birds!"

She releases a heavy sigh when they are already far from the two.

Joon Ki chuckles. "Aigoo, if you two want to have a date, I tell you, this is not a safe place. Mi Cha's friends as well as she always come here."

"Thanks for saving us oppa." She said shyly and with confusion in her eyes.

Joon ki ruffles her hair. "That's not a problem. Thanks to my father who asked me to bring some stuffs to his office or else... Well, good luck to both of you." Joon Ki whispers while playfully raises and down his brows.
