A/N: this is a request that I stole from imaginingnthemargins and I loved writing it. I decided to change the prompt a little, I hope that's okay! If you'll notice, there's a bit of an unresolved issue written in here so if people like it I'll write a part two.

It started with a drunken game of "never have I ever." It was Penelope's idea, of course. We had started with "would you rather," but when it got to be Spencer's turn, he started rambling about statistics, and the game was quickly changed.

Everything was going well. We were having a fun time, sharing drinks and laughs after a stressful day at work. Leave it to Derek Morgan to turn something fun into a competition. He was determined to be the one with the most "life experience" out of us all.

So when he said "never have I ever kissed someone at summer camp," I wasn't surprised. In fact, I couldn't believe the ladies' man hadn't brought up the topic of romance earlier. What did surprise me, though, was that everyone at the table, including myself, lowered a finger. Everyone except for Spencer. He looked down at the table bashfully, nine fingers still in the air. A playful laughter spread amongst the group, and I felt bad about the teasing I knew was about to come.

"Pretty Boy never had a summer camp romance!" Derek proclaimed, messing up Spencer's hair. Spencer turned red as he tried to fix the mess that Derek had created. "Was there really no one that you even had a crush on?"

The team shared a laugh at Spencer's expense, and it almost drowned out the shy words that came out of his mouth. I think I was the only one to notice that he had said anything at all.

"What did you say?" I asked. I really hated when he got picked on and cut off.

"I said I've never been to summer camp," he admitted.

"Really?" Emily asked. "Why not?"

"Everyone's been to summer camp," JJ added.

Spencer let out a huff and ran his hand through his hair, a clear sign that he was uncomfortable. However, he knew that everyone would persist until he spoke.

"A kid genius at a sleep away camp? Imagine the teasing. You guys know how unathletic I am; I wouldn't survive that!"

The table silently nodded. We knew what he had been through as a child.

"I was more interested in reading books anyway," he added. "That stuff just wasn't for me."

"So you've really never been to summer camp?" Penelope frowned. Spencer shook his head.

"Well, if you want, I could give you a little taste of the summer camp experience," I mentioned.

Everyone turned to look at me. This was the first time I'd spoken in a while. They were clearly intrigued by what my offer meant.

"What?" was all Spencer said. He had confusion drawn all over his face.

"We have the next few days off," I elaborated. "Come over to my place for a sleepover. We'll build a fort, make friendship bracelets-"
