Elevator
I looked up at the huge hotel my company booked a room for me in. I've never been at such a noble hotel and with a smile tugging at my lips I let myself fall down on the king size bed.
A sigh left my lips when I stared at the ceiling and I felt how tired my body was from the drive. I closed my eyes, relaxed my body and tried to block out every stupid worrying thought in my head when my phone suddenly ringed.
Frustrated I sat up and searched in my bag for the little device. My best friend was calling me.
"Hey, Taehyungie." I murmured as I laid back, but I kept my eyes open, afraid I might fall asleep otherwise.
"Minnie! Have you arrived yet? How was the drive? I hope the train wasn't too full."
I laughed softly. "It was okay... I'm lying down on my king sized bed right now. The hotel is huge, Taehyungie!"
"I threatened my father to book you a room in a nice hotel, so that worked." He laughed quietly and when a short break began to settle in I felt my eyes slowly closing.
"Are you nervous for tomorrow?" He asked, almost whispering.
"No... Why would I be? I've done this hundred of times. I will get them to cooperate with us, don't worry."
"That's not what I meant, Minnie." Taehyung said and I knew where this was leading. And I definitely didn't want to talk about that right now.
"You know what I'm talking about... what if you meet him?"
I sighed and felt a painful Peng shooting through my heart. "I won't. He's in a complete different section of the company." I assured him. "And if so, then I wouldn't mind. It's been five years."
Taehyung stayed silent for a couple of seconds and I just listened to his calming breathing and imagined myself somewhere on Hawaii, where I could leave all my problems behind.
"Minnie... maybe it's been five years, but that doesn't change a thing about your feelings for him..." He softly whispered and I could hear the slight hesitate in his voice since he knew that it was a sensitive topic for me.
And it would for ever be...
"Taehyungie..." I sighed and put my hand over my fast beating heart. "I don't have any feelings left. We're over. He's over me. He even has a fiancée! And I'm... I... I really enjoyed the few dates with Yoongi. He's really nice. We even have already agreed to meet for the day after tomorrow when I get back."
"If you say so... but don't you think it would be good to finally talk with him? Maybe it's your chance to finally clear everything out."
I laughed. "No. I won't talk to him. Taehyung, we are over. Stop doubting that. Please."
"Okay." I heard him turning around probably in his bed. "Call me when something happens, alright?"
I smiled. "I will. Good night, Taehyungie."
...
The next day I woke up in the exact same position I was laying yesterday when I talked with Taehyung. A groan left my mouth and I was really thirsty. My belly grumbled too.
I slowly sat up and searched for my phone. "Oh my god, fuck!" I screamed when I noticed what time it was.
I had only like thirty minutes left to arrive at the company and I had to shower and change into a good looking suit.
While I was trying somehow to kick my underpants off my feet, I stumbled into the bathroom, grabbed my toothbrush and hurried to the shower. So while I was brushing my teeth, I was washing my hair and cursing at the same time because the water just wouldn't get warm.
