I never liked Annie. I always thought that there was something off about her, just like Reiner. Could Reiner be - no, let me not go that far. 

It was the day after Armin told me the news, I couldn't wait any longer. I needed the suspicions to be confirmed. I hurried along the streets to the meeting spot of where we were going to escort Eren. 

I spotted Armin, Eren, and Mikasa. The squad that I was to walk with. We had a plan ready. A part of me hoped that it wasn't Annie because I didn't want anybody to die because of her. How could she even do this? The people she trained with... It absolutely disgusted me. 

All the other Scouts were gathered, ready to make the journey. From the corner of my eye I saw Levi and Erwin speaking to each other. I remembered the interaction I had with Erwin yesterday. On cue, I heard Erwin call my name. 

I looked over and waved my arm to him. He gestured for me to come over and I followed his orders. 

"Are you better?" he asked.

I was focused on Erwin but I couldn't help but notice the man standing next to him. Captain Levi. Humanity's strongest soldier. I had respect for him because I had to, but I really didn't like him. Ever since the day I found out what happened at Eren's court trial. A part of me understood why he had to do it, but I still didn't like him. 

"Yes I trained as much as I could yesterday," I filled him in. 

He nodded his head, "I knew I could count on you." 

I bowed my head and did the whole hand over my heart thing. I stole one last glance at Levi whose greyish eyes were on mine. We looked at each other for a second before I turned around. 

Armin, Mikasa, Eren, and I began the escort. Armin pulled Annie off to the side. This was the real test. Through my eyes covered by my hood, I took a look at Annie. The blonde girl who was good at training  and  closed off.  We had a lot in common.  I mean except for the fact that she's a titan and killed soldiers and I didn't. 

When she turned her back, I quickly got into my position. I planted myself on the roof of a building. Not too close but close enough to control the situation if anything went out of control.  Eren, Armin, and  Mikasa began their journey down the stairs and I leaned forwards as Annie didn't join them.

Our suspicions were confirmed, now it was just a gamble if she was going to transform in her titan form or not. I didn't know what they were saying but Annie seemed like she was laughing.  With the swipe of her thumb, the same green lightening flashed across. 

This was my signal to go. The Female Titan appeared and I wanted to laugh. This was my first time seeing it but how could people not have guessed Annie? They both had the same ugly, blonde bob. 

She began to stop on the ground, probably trying to smash Eren in the tunnel. With a mean, hard look on my face I swung down and cut the back of its ankle. The titan picked up its foot and slammed it down,  this time trying to crush me but I moved out of the way this time.

It began to run. We can't let it leave. As I tried to catch up to it, I watched it grabbed soldiers and throw them. This made my blood boil even more. Blasting off with my gas tank, I had a clear position for the nape. 

I went in to cut it but her hand covered it and hardened. Hardened? It can do that? I fell back a bit but managed to slide onto the ground uninjured. I looked at the damage that was happening to all the buildings. I remembered when I found my crumbled house.  

I switched my blades and screamed as I began to chase her down. Why wasn't Eren transforming? I saw the female titan on the ground because of a trap but almost immediately her foot wiped everything out. 

She got up but she was wrong if she thought she was going to get away that easily. It seemed like she had her guard down for a second. I used that opportunity to dig into her skin.  I made a big cut down one of her arms. 

I twirled around her body in quick movements. After I moved quickly, making sure that she couldn't see what directions I was coming from, I appeared right in front of her eye. My blade touched the tip of the huge eyeball making it bleed just a little, but the line of my gear was yanked.  

I went flying as I saw a far away boom. Eren finally transformed. The next thing I knew, my back was slammed into a building and I coughed with drops of blood escaping my lips. My body was limp on the stone ground. I heard the sounds of the big titans fighting and I knew we would be fine.

I tried to catch my breathe after being smacked against a stone building but it was hard to do so.  After blinking trying to get rid of the black dots surrounding my eyes, I finally felt somewhat normal again. My entire body ached but the fighting was still going on. 

I stood up shakily and found my footing. I forced myself to head to where the fight was going on. I saw buildings being destroyed and I couldn't even think about how many civilians were currently losing their lives.

I saw Hange, Mikasa, and others standing on a building watching the fight. It seemed like  Eren had the upper hand but I didn't want to jinx it for him. I felt Hange look at me. 

"You look terrible," she noted. 

My eyes closed and opened slowly, "Hm."

It was all I could manage to say. Realizing that I didn't want to talk, she looked back at the titans fighting. I'm sure she was secretly excited to  see this since she loved her titans. 

Then I saw the Female Titan harden its fingers and climbed the wall. A surge of energy brought my body towards her. If she really thought she was going to escape then she was horribly mistaken. 

I sliced off the fingers that were being dug into the wall. I looked at her terribly, ugly face. I let Annie see a small  smirk wipe across my face. She might have been talented but trash is still trash.  

"Sucks for you," I said as I watched her eyes close.
