Prologue: New Forms

Boyfriend woke up with a strange headache, he hadn't remembered falling asleep but he obviously had to have at some point as he was now on the floor. What happened..? Boyfriend thought as another voice, which he recognized as his girlfriend, responded with, Boyfriend, where are you?

"I dunno, somewhere nearby since you sound so close!"

Boyfriend got up from the stage as he tried to remember what happened. One minute he was singing with Girlfriend onstage, and the next he had passed out randomly. He looked at his hand and screamed at what he saw. Girlfriend also screamed as they realized it was a terrifying melted combination of the two of their hands, it looked goopy and wrong.

"WHAT HAPPENED??" They screamed in unison as they realized they shared the same voice now.

The two weren't the smartest duo, but even they knew this wasn't normal. They looked at the other side of the stage to see... A horrifying mutation that looked like a melted fusion of Girlfriend's parents. They also looked terrified, it was obvious that the four... two..? However many of them, they were terrified, unable to move due to shock.

Skid woke up and thought the same thing he always thought: it's the Spooky Month! Oddly enough, this time he heard Pump say it too. Skid didn't think too hard on it as he spoke. "Ey Pump! Are you excited to celebrate Spooky Month?"

"Yep, sure am! Let's go eat a spooky breakfast!" Their voices sounded oddly mixed together, but they had such similar voices that they didn't notice.

The two walked downstairs and greeted Skid's mom.

"Morning mom!" The two said, and Lila looked up from her newspaper before while she spoke.

"Morning Ski- WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU TWO!?" Lila looked at them, terrified as they looked at her, clearly confused.

"What's wrong mom?"

"Kids, we need to take you to the hospital, I- I don't know what happened but that's not normal!"

"What isn't normal?" The two responded, and Lila gave them a mirror so they could see themselves. They were melted together, stuck in their Halloween costumes as they both combined only had 4 limbs, two legs, a right and left leg to be specific, and two right arms.

"Wow, we look spooky!"

"Yeah, I love it!" the two were clearly unfazed as Lila grabbed them and put them into the car and drove to the hospital.

Pico woke up in the lobby of the Newgrounds apartment complex. It wasn't unusual to hear voices, since it was a lobby, however it was weird to see everyone staring at him, although it could be because he passed out in the lobby.

"Pico, Pico are you ok!? Something really abnormal just happened to you!" Pico recognized that voice as Darnell, one of his friends from when he was younger.

"Captain! Captain, wake up!"

He didn't recognize this voice, yet he somehow knew them as Steve. Who the hell is that..? Suddenly he responded without any of his own input.

"Steve, what the hell am I doing here?" The voice sounded like a strange mix of his and some other manly voice.

"Pico, Captain, you two are... Kind of melted together..!"

Another soldier spoke up, as they looked at their arm to see it was in fact a melted messy mix of both of their arms. Today's gonna be a long day, isn't it..? They both thought in unison as they got up slowly.

Senpai woke up in his bed, groaning as he attempted to go back to bed. He gave up pretty quickly, however, and got up for the day. This is the first time we've woken up at the same time in years...! A voice in his head spoke, one that most certainly not his own.

"Hello? Who exactly are you?" Senpai called out, and the voice responded with,

Shit, you can hear me? That's a first, how exactly are you hearing me? Like, is it like I'm in the same room as you?

"More like a voice in my head, why?"

Huh, wonder what happened to cause this...

"You know I couldn't help but notice my entire arm and hand is like, melted into a demon's hand. This your doing?"

Well, I'm not exactly a demon anymore so I don't know...

Senpai shook his hand around before speaking. "Well, I can move it just fine. You try moving it, see what it does!"

"I'll try..." Spirit spoke, except the words came out of Senpai's mouth as Spirit attempted to move the hand. It moved, Spirit looked at it in shock.

"Holy- holy shit did you see that!? It- it moved, holy shit I have arms!"

"We have arms, not you. But yeah, that's dope!"

"Wait- can I maybe-" Senpai got up out of bed without any of his own input, Spirit was clearly excited as he ran into the bathroom screaming "I have legs!"

The two looked at themselves in the mirror, they were a strange combination of Spirit's living form and Senpai. They had three arms and, oddly enough, two left legs, one a demonic red and the other looked exactly like Senpai's. Their eyes were red and blue heterochromia, and they had dark red horns that could probably be hidden if they did their hair right. Senpai couldn't help but notice they also had a tail, it was moving absentmindedly as they examined themselves in the mirror. Another thing Senpai noticed was the wings, he could only imagine what the voice in his head looked like before all of this.

"Do- do you see this!? This- this could be our way out Senpai!"

"Like... Out of the game? Err- I mean, do you know that we're in a videogame or-"

"Yeah, I got forced in here years ago... Wait, since when did you know?"

"Since the game got released, I was created to be self aware..!"

"Huh, really? I mean- I'm surprised I didn't notice sooner, your really... self aware?"

"Yup! Makes it easier to seduce the ladies that play this game!" Senpai winked, and Spirit facepalmed as they decided to get ready, Senpai still had a role to fill.

"Hey Spirit, why'd you get stuck in here anyway?"

"Long story, but the short version? Evil demon rockstar."

"Ah, makes sense I guess."

"I half expected you to be less... Normal about all of this."

"Yeah but you know, I'm excited more then anything! I mean- I've always wanted to know what it's like to be, well, anything but an ai in a videogame, and this is my chance!"

"Actually about that... Should we hide the horns and tail?"

"I would but the tail can't exactly be hidden. These clothes kinda... Stuck to our skin? So we're stuck in them now."

"Showers are gonna be a blast, I can already tell." Spirit stated sarcasitcally as he walked downstairs, they were almost ready for school anyways.

"Hey actually, I never got your name!"

"Oh... I uhh, can't remember my name. So I've been going by Spirit..."

"Oh, nice to uhhh... Meet you, Spirit! I'm Senpai, but something tells me you already knew that!"

The two walked out the door after realizing they were going to be late and made the very short walk to school, humming a random tune as they did so.
