Throughout the city, various military vehicles are mobilizing towards the city's outskirts near its bay area. Meanwhile, at NERV HQ in the bridge, Misato is giving off orders to the ground troops.
Misato: Tokyo-3's Intercept system is still under repairs from the last battle! Currently, we're at 26% of effectiveness... so for practical purposes, that's zero. We got to intercept this thing before it comes ashore. Understood?! All EVA units will be mobilized for safety.
Misato then looks at the EVA pilots gives them further instruction. 
Misato: For this battle, we'll be having Ash be in charge for the time being any questions?
Asuka: Nope I'm all good Misato! I can't wait to work with you guys!
The others all nod in understanding and all of their EVAs are getting ready for launch
Misato: Good You're we'll power up the EVAs when they reach the surface.
Misato cuts off the call leaving the pilots to talk among themselves.
Asuka: Yeah right like I enjoy this, I should be the leading hell I'm all they need!
Shinji: *rolls eyes* Geez where did all of that enthusiasm about working with us go miss good personality?
Asuka: I heard that! 
Shinji: So what I meant it
Asuka: Why you- you know what? I don't care just don't get in my way maggot!
Shinji: Yeah yeah, just keep on barking little doggy.
Ash: (Y/n), I think we're leaving a bad empress on Shinji.
(Y/n): What? No, we're not if anything we're bringing out his inner savage. 
Ash: Well whatever, for now, let's just reach the surface.
All five EVA units soon reach the surface. Units 00, 01, and 02 connect their umbilical cables. Ash and (Y/n) summon their preferred weapons for this battle.
