Chapter 2: He's Gay

*A week before*

MoreKai just uploaded a video!

I scream frantically as I always do when he uploads a new vlog on YouTube.

I open the video and the first thing I do is comment under it.

'I love you sooo much Dustin!'

Yes, I'm that kind of a fangirl.

In hopes that he sees the comment, I always use his second name because it's way more special.

I set the video to HD and start watching.

He's filming him and his friends going through the streets of Chicago, and I try to remember where are they going and making screenshots of some places.

Since the first time he mentioned that he was going to be in Chicago, I called my friend Anna and we managed to convince our parents to let us go there for the spring break. Anna's older brother Jesse has to go with us, but he promised to let us run free while we're there. A decision our parents wouldn't be happy with.

I also convinced Eddy and Lori to come with us, as well as Connor who is usually annoying as hell, but is still one of my best friends.

Anna and I obviously decided to go to Chicago to meet Kai. We are his fans since 2011 and hadn't had a chance to meet him until now.

The video is slowly ending and Kai is in his hotel room.

"So, we were supposed to stay in Chicago for the next ten days," he says and I listen carefully. "But we decided to go to Waterville Valley's skiing resort in the New Hampshire, since I always wanted to learn how to snowboard..."

I stop the video immediately and start freaking out.

But we have everything planed out, we already booked the hotel... But we still haven't ordered the plane tickets! That's it! We can still change our plans!

No, my parents are never going to let me do this. I start calling Anna on her phone, thinking of all the things we would have to settle. Thankfully I have skis from the winter break last year, I would only have to buy wormer clothing.

C'mon Anna, pick up.

Pick up, pick up, pick up...

"Hi, what's up?" I finally hear on the other line.

"Oh, dear Lord you answered! Anna, you have no idea what just happened."

"Kai uploaded a new vlog?" she suggests.

"Don't be ridiculous! It's obviously that!" I start, half on the verge of having a panic attack, "So you watched it already? You know what I'm stressing about?"

"No, my wifi is not working again! It's pissing me off!" she snaps. "Please don't tell me he dyed his hair blonde, I don't think I can survive that again!"

I would've laughed, if i weren't freaking out. "Trust me, even that would be better right now!"

She's silent for a second, before saying, "He's gay, isn't he?"

"What? No, don't ever say that out loud, ever again! It'll bring us bad luck you ass!" I yell at her. "Sadly, the situation is way more complicated. He isn't going to be in Chicago for spring break."

"You're shitting me right now."

"I wish I was, Annabelle. I wish I was." I lay down on my bed, knowing that we'll both be mourning over it right now.

"What are we gonna do now?" she silently asks. I explain to her that he will be in the New Hampshire next week.

"We have to go," she says. "I don't care what it takes, we are meeting him."

I surely hope so.
