"Hey Nadwe!" Joocie said to the younger boy.

"Hey Joocie!" Nadwe called out. He gave the older boy a hug, making sure to stay in the shade.

"I heard you weren't feeling well, so look what I found!" Joocie said. Truthfully, Nadwe felt so much better now. Other than the feeling at the back of his throat itching for blood.

"What?" Nadwe asked. Joocie ran outside, grabbed something, and ran back in.

"MONIKA! I Thought I lost her!" Nadwe grabbed his body pillow from Joocies hands.

"Yeah, I was looking through Socks' old stuff yesterday and found it-, er, her. He must have stolen her," Joocie said.

"Thanks, Joocie!" Nadwe said.

"Welcome, Nadwe!" Joocie said. Nadwe smiled. Joocie caught Nadwe's eyes.

"Hey... What happened?" Joocie asked.

"What!" Nadwe yelped.

Please don't notice please don't notice please don't notice...

"Your eyes, they're red," Joocie said.

"Contacts!" Nadwe yelped.

"And you're looking a little pale now that I think about it... Nadwe, what did you do?" Joocie crossed his arms.

"I was looking for Muffin in the forest, because I wanted to meet him for fourteen-year-old gang buisness, and then a vampire appeared and bit me!" Nadwe half-lied. Technically, he was looking for Muffin for some fourteen-year-old gang business, but the vampire thing was entirely his fault. Joocie sighed.

"And you were planning on keeping this a secret? From me? Nadwe, I've known you since birth!"

"Everyone has known me since birth!" Nadwe corrected. Except for Muffin, obviously, but close enough. Joocie sighed.

"You know I wouldn't care. C'mon Nadwe," Joocie said. Nadwe sighed and gave Joocie a hug.

If Joocie found out, there's no way he can keep this a secret from everyone else!

"I supposed we's should have Socks' funeral tomorrow morning, good idea?" Laff asked. Blaza nodded.

"Yeah I suppose that would be a good idea, we don't want to wait too long," Blaza said. Laff smiled.

"I cans start up the preparations. Bring his body to the church and such," Laff said. Blaza nodded and adjusted his sunglasses.

"Got it, Laff," Blaza said.

"Socks'... Body is still at Meme's base, though," Woolfster pointed out. Laff paused in his steps and sighed.

He forgot about that.

"Well's we gotta go get it then, we can't have a funeral without the body," Laff said. Blaza nodded, Laff had a point. It was kinda the point.

"I'll go ask. They probably won't mind as much," Woolfster offered. Laff nodded.

"Ahh, thanks Woolf. Youse a good friend," Laff smiled warmly. Woolfster stood up and started to walk.

Woolfster was starting to regret volunteering. The cool night air was refreshing, sure, but he barely noticed it. Especially with the feeling of impending doom hanging over him. Seriously, he was such an idiot sometimes.

But that was fine. All he had to do was ask for his best friend's corpse, no biggie.

Woolfster never actually let Socks' death sink in. When everyone was immortal, there wasn't much of a concept of "death", only animals died. Wictoria could die, a zombie he just passed could die, he could die but it wouldn't be permanent. He would just spawn back in his bed. It wasn't really "death" when you thought about it that way.
