"Good morning, I am Shannaiah Vienice C. Buenavista, uh, Shanice will be fine." I let out an awkward smile while looking at these people seated on their respective seats.
"So, Shanice, can you tell me something about yourself?" the professor asked me and I smiled.
"I lived my whole life in Italy and I am just new here in the Philippines. But don't worry, I can understand Tagalog. In fact, I can speak fluently."
"Oh, that's good." The professor nodded at me, napangiti naman ako. Because the professor is my godmother slash tita, Tita Demi. "Why did you choose accountancy?" she asked,
"My mother wants me to take a college course related to math, so I decided to take accountancy." I answered which made some of them laugh at me. "And actually, I am planning to go to law school after this."
"Oh, so you dream of being a lawyer, huh?" Professor asked, I nodded. "You may now take your seat,"
Today's the first day of our classes. Ayon sa kagustuhan ni Mom, I shifted to accountancy even though I want to take legal management, mabuti na lang naipasa ko ang acceleration test kaya hindi na ako umulit ng isang taon sa college.
Little did she know, I will take law after graduating from college.
The first day was full of introductions and such conversations. It was lunch time when I received a text message from Lauren.
'Nandito ako sa lobby ng accountancy building, sabay tayo pumunta sa cafeteria. Itu-tour din kita.'
I smiled and pressed the designated floor on the elevator's buttons.
I dialed Shaun's number as well, nag-ring 'yon at wala pang limang rings ay sinagot niya na.
"Hello?"
"Do you still have class as of the moment?"
"Shanice, it's lunch time for holy's sake. What do you think?" I heaved a sigh and rolled my eyes, napakawalang-kwenta naman kausap nitong kapatid kong 'to!
"Do you want me to kick your ass and pull your hair?" I asked,
"Tapang, ah?" I can imagine him smirking right now. "Why are you asking? Are you expecting me to treat you to lunch?"
"Yeah, malamang." I answered,
"Say 'sono bellissimo' three times."
"Sono bellissimo, sono bellissimo, sono bellissimo"
"Uto-uto!"
"Go in my building's lobby, now." I said and hung up the call. I smirked,the elevator opened after I got to the third floor. I am planning to take stairs to waste some time at para na rin magtagpo sila Lauren at Shaun sa baba. Tingnan ko lang yung magiging reaksyon nila sa isa't-isa.
When I arrived there, I saw Lauren, seated comfortably on the couch. Pinagtitinginan siya ng mga tao, marahil ay dahil sa ganda niya. While Shaun is just in a far distance, using his phone.
"Lauren!" I called and waved at her, Lauren immediately stood up and ran to hug me.
"Shanice, I missed you!" She kissed my cheek and smiled brightly.
"Sorry, naging busy, eh." I said,
"No worries, ako rin naman." She chuckled, "Tara na, kain na tayo."
"Wait, did you see my brother?" I asked, kunwaring palinga-linga sa paligid. She just shook her head,
"Hindi, paano ko naman nakikita 'yon? Eh nagbe-blend na yung kulay sa liwanag!" I laughed loudly, when I saw Shaun looking at us.
