After lying in bed for a week and a half doing literally nothing and with my head pounding every hour of the day , i was genuinely glad that i could finally leave my bed .

After " the talk " with Mother , i started feeling that i should be more responsible as a noble and as the heir to the house of Heldor . It was also partially due to my never ending boredom though.

Well , let's be real , it's all due to my boredom .

When the tutor, a middle age women who was a low-ranking noble's relative with no title , was here , she taught me many things. After she covered the basic education , she also taught me about responsibilities and such .

I think that is something my parents should be teaching me , but oh well ....

"As a noble , a future head of the house , you are in charge of your domain's citizens well-being . As we nobles have been gifted with attributes and a life of comfort , it is our duty to repay this debt .

Nobles managing a domain must protect their citizens . They must hunt and kill any dangerous magi-beast that endangers the citizens . We are the only ones capable of killing these beasts due to our attributes.

Remember this , Aria , promise you you won't forget ."

( A/N: the long speeches are also italics because it would be hard to see when it ends if not )

Though she left a long time ago, her words still replay in my mind till this day .

The huge difference between nobles and commoners would be mana and attributes. Nobles had plentiful mana while also possessing an attribute , either fire , water , earth or wind . Commoners , on the other hand , possessed a bit of mana , however , they did not have a attribute .

When a noble pours their mana into a mana stone , the translucent stone would change color. The color change is due to a noble's mana being 'dyed' . The 'dyed' mana color would correspond to the elemental attribute they possessed .

Red for fire , blue for water , yellow for earth and green for wind . However , the shade of the color depends on the quality of mana that the user has . Lower ranking nobles had darker mana color while higher ranking ones had lighter shades . It was rumored that those of the royal family possessed a near white shade .

Commoners' mana , however , had no color , it was transparent . Meaning , they had no attribute .

One needed an attribute to activate magic. Thus this point created a definitive line between the two classes.

I guess i could start hunting some magi-beasts in the forest .

Our barony was located on the outskirts of the country , bordering on the Rarch Mountains . It was safe in a sense , as people would be unintelligent to invade a country through a mountain known for it's dangerous magi-beasts .

( A/N : her vocabulary is actually pretty good , but she chooses unintelligent as like a sugar coated insult , instead of just straight up saying dumb . This is called euphemism, but as you can see the mc is not as great at it as she thinks. )

Okay , but before i go kill myself , i need to get some weapons .

I happily skipped to the weapons room . Yes , there is an actual weapons room . I think it was designed by the something head of the house , something generations ago .

I was skilled in welding many different types of weapons . Courtesy of  Father whenever he was home .

And now i get to use magic !!!

Well, i've still haven't gotten to use magic yet but hey it is now an open option .

Hmmm , maybe i can try it out in the forest , that way nothing gets destroyed and no one get's hurt.

I could already feel my heart beat picking up from the excitement coursing through me .

When i arrived at the weapons room , i almost died from excitement .

The weapons room was huge , about the size of my bedroom , filled end to end with various types of weapons .

I think that ancestor something generations ago was a weapon freak.

There was literally so many kinds of weapons in the room , from the common ones found in the kingdom to other kinds i had never seen before .

In this kingdom , according to the tutor , two-handed broadswords were particularly favored.

This stems from the belief that men are the "all-powerful strong beings" and that women were weak and should only be allowed to stay at home.

Thus , men used the broadsword due to versatility, it had a high attack and is also suitable to defense  . This also prevented women from becoming knights because the swords were just too heavy .

I personally believed that that was a load of bull**** .

I mean , Mother was perfectly able to ward off the magi-beasts, though using magic .

Even for nobles , women were looked down upon , they were supposed to "stay home to take care of domestic affairs and birth children" , while the men went out to kill the dangerous magi-beasts .

Well , i'll worry about that cr*p when the time comes .

Now , my dear weapons.

Hmmm , broadswords , sabers, rapiers , bows , crossbows ......

Soo many to choose from .

Then it struck me , I had no clothes for hunting .

Like most aristocratic girls , my wardrobe was filled with ankle length dresses , from home dresses , which were more practical and moveable , to formal ones ,which were stuffy and tight .

I had nothing suitable for moving in a forest .

NOOOOO . WHy!? I was so excited to go.

As i lamented my lack of suitable clothes , an idea struck me .

I could just go and get some made.

I now had a new task at hand , making new clothes .
