All those little words, all those small damn words,

They stole my heart and stamped it on the ground.

Battered and bruised, it was starting to lose

All it’s hope in love.

Crawling across the dirt whilst her words observed,

My heart bled love – love scavenged by her words.

What more could I do with a broken heart

That floods out hopeless love?

Your words robbed me of my love,

You knew from the beginning

That the bells wouldn’t be ringing.

I believed me and you were to be so,

But you never told me I was a no.

Now my mind’s in an asylum,

And your words robbed me of my love.

You’re kiss felt like I reached heaven’s gate,

Yet you poisoned me with such a dream.

And when that beautiful smile grabbed hold of me,

You crept closer to my heart.

I don’t want to face such an event again,

Distance was your reason – excuses you hid from me

You tried to hide them all from me and that’s when I saw,

My heart reaching out to the dead love.
