Nico dies: Darkfic

William Andrew Solace's POV

Nico was dying. Will knew that for certain. I'll start at the beginning. Nico had been called to his father's palace for some unknown reason. Will had gone with him because they both knew whenever Hades called Nico, he was calling Will too. They had arrived in the throne room but everything was off. Hades was on his knees in chains at the foot of the throne. And on the throne was Alcyonous, the bane of Hades.

"Didn't we defeat him?" I asked Nico.

"Yeah... I don't know how he's here now. Hazel defeated him a long time ago."

Long story short, we defeated the giant all over again, it wasn't too hard once we freed Hades. But in it, Nico got pierced by the giant's sword. It was a fatal wound.

"Will?" Nico asked him in the present.

"I'm here honey..." I said sadly.

"I'm so tired... Can I go to sleep? Will you guys be okay without me? It'll only be for a little bit..." Nico mumbled, his eyes closed as he lay on my lap. His head was in my crossed legs, and he was stretched across the floor in the most comfortable position possible.

"You can go to sleep honey..." I said, a tear making its way down my face.

"I love you, babe..." Nico said, smiling with his eyes closed. We had made it so the wound was numb but we didn't think he knew what was happening.

"We will always love you too Neeks..." I smiled through the tears even though he couldn't see me. I felt his breathing fade and when I checked, he had no heartbeat. That's when I really started crying.
