The fear was on each and every face. Even if they all had imagined facing a Dark Lord, they all had hope too that they wouldn't face anything at all at best, and that they would have been scared for nothing, or at worst, it would just be a little ghost. But now, even Poe, who didn't have the Jedi culture and knowledge, knew the two Sith Lords around them. The two spirits didn't move, studying their guests with a glare. The pilot adjusted very slowly his bag, making sure it would not fall during the next coming battle, before tightening his hold around his weapon.
"Alright... Who's talking first?"
His joke attempt unfortunately went unheard and Maul rose his saber in front of him, pointing directly at the pilot.
"Put this box down, and maybe some of you will leave alive."
Dameron arched a brow, but didn't make a move to lower his blaster.
"Sorry mate, but the girls here want to bring back a friend of them, and they both need what's inside that box, so I think we'll have to decline politely your offer."
Ly'ra glanced discreetly at Rey before projecting herself in her mind.
"Get ready."
The young woman nodded, knowing what her friend had in mind, and she adjusted her hold around her lightsaber. At the same time, a rageous cry escaped from the Zabrak's lips. But before he could jump onto the pilot, Ly'ra protected her husband by sending a powerful energy ball, sending the Sith away. The fight had begun.
Seeing his brother crashing against the stone wall, Savage stepped closer and attacked. He grabbed his double blade and tried to reach the young woman, but Cane blocked him. Not at all surprised, Opress faked a move and tried to attack again, but his blade was this time blocked by Rey. As for Ly'ra, she turned around and saw Maul running towards them. She then gathered her powers and blocked the man on his spot. Surrounded by a red light, the Sith was trying to fight back and the young woman, already tired by her previous loss of control, knew she wouldn't be able to hold him any longer.
Knowing that he couldn't do a single thing, Poe, frustrated and angry, suddenly had an idea. He quickly grabbed his comlink and contacted the Falcon.
"Chewie? Chewie you're here? Hurry buddy, we've got a situation here!"
But Hux replied instead of the Wookie.
"Dameron?"
The pilot rolled his eyes, sighing with frustration, but seeing his friends and his wife facing such a difficulty, he gave up his anger juste few moments.
"I'm gonna do it quick. The Holocron was protected and now we're blocked in the catacombs. I don't know how many times we can hold on and... LY'RA!"
The young woman couldn't hold back Maul any longer. The Sith succeeded in escaping her powers and sent her away as easily as he would have got rid of a sand mouse. The mum-to-be crashed few feet away, letting out a pain cry. The pilot gave up his demand and hurried towards his wife as Maul was attacking Rey.
"Ly'ra! Oh non, please, answer me!"
The young woman groaned and coughed before trying to stand up. Poe helped her before checking if she was wounded.
"Are you alright? And the baby?"
Ly'ra took a minute to take a deep breath before nodding slowly, letting out a new groan.
"We're fine... But we need to get out of here..."
"I just contact the Falcon but... What are you doing?"
The man frowned seeing his wife picking up her saber.
"Wait a minute, you can't be serious?"
Ly'ra didn't answer, but he could see in her eyes that she didn't have the choice. Checking back on their friends, the couple could see that Rey was doing quite alright facing the Dark Lord, but Cane, still in training, was in an obvious trouble face to Opress. The idea that his wife, eight months pregnant, would fight with her light saber a Sith Lord was obviously not the best to him. And she could understand it.
