Chapter 13: New Destination and New Problems.

The Holocron started opening slowly and a small light frame appeared in the middle of the table.

"What the...?"

Chewie, Cane, Poe and Hux stepped closer around the girls and studied the image, intrigued.

"I thought you said this thing had a message?"

Ly'ra nodded softly before raising a hand to ask for silence. The recorded projection showed a young man in his twenties, black hair and blue eyes. He took a deep breath before starting to speak.

"I am Ezra Bridger and I'm recording this message for those of you who would be looking for the In Between World. After a long debate, the access to Mortis has been sealed. It is too dangerous for everyone to try and open these doors to bring back anyone. I needed time to understand this fact, but it was unfortunately necessary. The Jedis and the Siths are over. The Force believers had provoked too many problems and wars to allow them to continue. This is why I've just sealed Lothal Temple. Everything is now over. For the good of the Galaxy and its people."

Then, Ezra's apparition disappeared as quickly as it appeared, leaving the Corellian Cargo in a heavy silence. Finally, after several long minutes during which everyone seemed to think about the various possibilities facing them, Hux frowned and crossed his arms on his chest.

"Wait a second... There is something I don't understand. Why this kid is talking about Lothal, while we were looking for Mortis? As far as I may know, this planet doesn't have various names like Korriban? Right?"

He looked down at this ex fiancée who shook her head, confirming his thoughts.

"No indeed... Not that I know and according to all the researches we've done about Mortis, we never heard about another name."

"So why Lothal? And since when this planet has a Jedi Temple?"

Silent until now, Poe turned his brown eyes on the two droids.

"What do you have about Lothal on your datas?"

BB8 and R2 looked at each other before the blue and white droid showed a map of the small planet. Looking up at the projection, Ly'ra sighed.

"I only went there once, few years ago... But from what I can remember, there was nothing peculiar."

Hux nodded, remembering that he had been there with the young woman when she still thought she was part of the Kaplan family.

"No... Except for few bases from the Empire, there's nothing..."

Cane cleared his throat and pointed to a precise point, in a part that seemed empty.

"R2 can you please enlarge this part? Just there... Thanks."

The group turned quickly their heads towards the Zabrak who straightened when the small droid changed his projection to show an amount of rocks.

"This must be what Ezra was talking in his message."

Dameron, seated next to Ly'ra, an arm around her shoulders, arched a brow before softly asking:

"But he talked about a Jedi Temple..."

Cane nodded and looked at his friends.

"But it's a Temple. Very old and very secret. Luke told us about it during a lesson, telling us that it was a perfect place to hide if we ever need protection one day."

Rey straightened slightly as well, suddenly understanding the importance of the planet.

"He knew it... This is why Ben wanted us to go on Lothal..."
