The Falcon quickly flew away from Lothal. Rey and Chewie were piloting while Hux reached one of the quad laser cannon with Poe. Ly'ra slowly stepped closer to Cane's body, still under the shock of his death. She had known the Cyborg Zabrak for years, he had been there right after she had met Dante and when she had started to work for the Crimson Dawn as a mercenary. She had always thought about him as family. Without talking about the fact that he was her first apprentice.

She kneeled down next to him, placed a hand on her friend's heart and closed her eyes, not even trying to hold back her tears. Silently, Ben stepped closer and placed a reassuring hand on her back.

"I'm really sorry Ly'ra... I never wanted that something like this happen."

"I know."

The young woman nodded softly, allowing her friend to take care of Cane's body. But unfortunately, their mourn would have to wait. Rey's voice suddenly echoed in the cargo:

"Hold on, it's gonna shake!"

And indeed, quickly after her announcement, the Corellian Cargo started shaking dangerously, hit several times by various enemy shots. Ly'ra looked up at Ben, who helped her on her feet.

"It seems they don't want to let us go so easily..."

The young woman nodded before making a move to head towards the cockpit. But before she could make a step, another violent contraction suddenly took over. The Jedi frowned before helping her and heading towards the only cabin of the ship. He quickly removed her weapons before helping her lying down on the sleeper. He then placed a hand on her tummy.

"Since when do you feel that?"

The young woman bit her lower lip before closing her eyes, sighing.

"Since we left Korriban. Few hours ago..."

Ben glared at her hearing her revelation before sighing as well.

"Alright... Don't move, I'll be right back."

"As if I could go anywhere!"

Ly'ra frowned when she saw him leaving the cabin. Several shakes forced her to hold tight on the small bed to avoid falling, but oddly enough, the fear to end up explosing in the Galaxy was not as strong as the pain she was feeling right now. She was holding so tight that her knuckles were becoming white. As another contraction was taking over for several seconds, Ben was coming back with water and clean sheets. The young woman frowned, instinctively squeezing her legs.

"What the hell are you doing?"

The young man arched a brow, obviously amused by her question, before lifting his sleeves with a smile.

"What do you think I'm doing smart ass?"

Ly'ra suddenly shook quickly her head, trying to step back, in vain.

"No! Forget that! You forget that idea now! I'll wait to be on Coruscant!"

Ben couldn't hold back a chuckle and shook his head as well, kneeling next to her.

"Ly'ra.. You cannot wait to be there. We'll need several hours before reaching the capital. And from what I heard, we'll also have to go through a blockade before you could reach the medical wing. You're smarter than that... You know you don't have the choice."

Stubborn, the young woman refused the truth, allowing few tears of fright to escape her eyes.

"I'm not ready Ben... I'm not ready to have this baby!"

The young man sighed before seating next to her on the small bed.

"And I know you are. Look, I know you're scared. But I also know that you're stronger that you think. Dammit Ly'ra, you survived an intense training with the Nightsisters! You've been under cover with me! Giving birth is really nothing compared to that. Everything will be fine, okay? Do you trust me?"
