"We're coming!"

After a few hours of flight, the Falcon finally arrived in sight of Coruscant. Once the alarm was set, Rey quickly deactivated the Light Speed, with Ben still by her side. All along the way, the pair had been trying to make contact with the Capital to get more news about the mysterious fleet headed to the planet. But unfortunately, since their hasty departure from Lothal, they had not received a single reply. Not from Rose, not from Finn, not even from Connix. No one had responded, which was not a good sign for the future.

As the long lines of stars disappeared and became moons and planets again, several proximity alarms suddenly began to sound throughout the ship and Rey let out a surprised curse. She quickly raised the nose of the ship, narrowly escaping a head-on collision with a large Destroyer. Just as surprised as she was, Ben found himself pressed back against his seat, before he could observe the scene once she had managed to pull the Corellian Freighter away from the potential crash.

"Holy crap..."

Hundreds of ships formed a blockade all around the New Capital. Destroyers and Bombers of the former First Order, cargo ships of Bounty Hunters, TIE Fighters, and the Night Buzzard, stationed slightly behind, overlooking the planet.

Having probably sensed her evasive maneuver, Chewie and Hux came racing into the cockpit, followed closely by Poe, holding his son, and Ly'ra, as well as the two droids.

"What happened?"

But Rey didn't need to answer. As the scene unfolded before them, the rest of the group quickly realized that the trouble was far from over.

"Now what?"

The Wookie let out a long, plaintive growl, echoing the thoughts of everyone on the ship. Ly'ra frowned as she discovered the Night Buzzard, gave a knowing look to her husband who sighed, before turning her green eyes on her friends.

"Do you think they've spotted us?"

Ben began to shake his head, but before he could even formulate his sentence out loud, several TIE Fighters launched themselves after them.

"Apparently so!"

"Hang on!"

Rey turned quickly and the sudden movement of the Cargo ship surprised everyone. The two droids found themselves rolling to the other end of the ship, Chewie grunted as he slid to the floor, Poe had just enough time to slam into a seat, and Ly'ra was barely caught by Hux, who grabbed her arm, just before she was thrown into the ship's corridor.

"Sorry!"

The young Jedi steadied the ship as quickly as she could and engaged the shields just in time to avoid some initial laser fire. Once everyone was back on their feet, Ly'ra watched the scene before letting go.

"We definitely need to get to the planet..."

Ben exchanged a look with Rey before nodding. Without a word, the couple reversed their respective seats and the Jedi took the controls of the Falcon, a slight smile on his face, as his memories of learning to fly with his father were flooding back for a few seconds. Meanwhile, Armitage turned to Ly'ra and Poe, suspecting that what he was about to tell them was not going to please them. Especially the pilot.

"Give me the baby..."

Poe raised an eyebrow in his direction, but Hux didn't give him time to drop a scathing retort.

"You and Ly'ra are the two best shooters here. Much better than me. So you go to the turrets and I will protect your child, you have my word!"

The young woman offered him a slight smile before turning to her husband.
