Chapter Ten

(The day of the Sports Festival)

Third-person POV

"Are you sure you don't wanna get in the festival?" Bree says while looking at Vara who was handing out water bottles to each of the class students. "Yeah, it's no big deal!" Aizawa walks over to Vara handing her a hat. "Thanks!" She puts it on, Vara smiles as if nothing happened to her. "Why are you wearing a jacket it's hot as balls out here?" Says Bakugo, Vara laughs. "I'm not hot dumbass." She says handing him a water bottle. "ALL RIGHT EVERYONE THE SPORTS FESTIVAL WILL START SOON! SIT TIGHT AND WE'LL START SOON!" Present Mic says, well yells.

Once it was time for the sports festival to start Aizawa calls over Vara. "Are you sure you-" Vara stops him, "I'm sure." Vara smiles quickly and sits back in the seat she asked for next to the pro heroes for a better view. That's when the games began. Everyone from each class started running through the obstacle course. Screens were showing the scoreboard and showing the action. Vara flips her hat backwards and stared intently at the screen. The heroes were already introduced and ready to watch the sports festival. "Hey kiddo you alright? Your lip stitch looks like it came out a bit." Hawks says looking at Vara she nods her head and looks to see if anything as in blood was dripping which it wasn't.

Bree's POV

"Try to keep up alright?" I say laughing slightly, Mina ties her shoe, "girly I can keep up with you any day." I help her up smirking, "keep that promise bestie." She smiles and nods. This is for Vara, even though she told me not to win it for her and just have fun. "I can't believe Bakubro said that as his speech for the class." I look at Kiri and laugh to myself.

{flash back to the speech}

"And I just have to say...I will be number one." All of class 1-A looks shocked, Bree face palms and Vara had to stop herself from throwing a water bottle at him. After Bakugo gets off the mic Vara gives him his motherly look of annoyance and Bree crosses her arms. "Why didn't you just say class 1-A would win?!" Bree asks him, he just looks at her "I'd rather not lie about these extras." Bakugo says. Vara stares at him "you just called her an extra along with me." Vara rolled her eyes and that's when the heroes were introduced. One by one the heroes were introduced to everyone. Some fan girls throwing themselves basically at Hawks and other heroes.

{now time for the action of the sports festival.}

The audience went crazy for each and every student. They looked proud to be where they were. The first obstacle, Robo-Inferno. It's the same points as before along with rescue points. "Last chance before it starts." Aizawa looks Vara dead in the eyes. Midnight sits up from behind him, holding her clothing and hair ties. Vara glances at the clothing. "Fuck it." She grabs the clothes and starts to run to the girls' bathroom. "Mic stall for a bit." Mic nods and starts talking to each hero and the audience didn't mind. "Huh? Why isn't it starting?" Sero says while looking around. His eyes land on a curved figure in the distance. "Wait a minute is that-" Izuku starts saying but gets cut off by Momo. "It is!" Vara walks over while pulling up her hair into a high ponytail. Bree smiles, "what changed your mind?" Vara rolls up her sleeves to the best of her abilities, "I have a chance to prove the mother fuckers in row 1, seats 12 and 13. Yeah, I can prove them wrong." Mic stops stalling and announces that Sports Festival shall start. Midnight started talking.

"1..." they all stretched and shake out any jitters. "2..." each student was ready for what the first round had in store for them. "3!" It was time to give it they're all. " Go...Go...GO!" There was a cheerful pep to Midnight's voice. This is where the festival truly begins, this is where the fight for first starts.

Halfway through the first round and some people are slightly teaming up due to the size of the robots. Iida glides through the robots while destroying them with ease. Mina melting through them and more. Vara looks around with a slight ringing in her ears, like one she got from the forest. She sees that one of the students in class 1-B were in trouble, so she goes in for a rescue mission. "WHAT DO WE HAVE HERE?! A STUDENT FROM CLASS 1-A IS ON THE WAY FOR A RESCUE MISSION! STACKING UP ON THOSE RESCUE POINTS, GREAT JOB!" Mr. Mic says, Vara looks around and sees a large robot towering over her. Vara swoops in and pulls them out of the way while destroying the robot. Bree picks them up noticing that they were hurt pretty badly. "WOW, ARE THEY WORKING TOGETHER?!" Bakugo starts blasting robots out of the way, while Vara and Kiri start to go fist only in getting rid of the robots. "WATCH OUT!" Vara turns around, "huh? HOLY SHIT-" there were more robots than before. There was still time before the first round was over. Everyone's quirk and skills were put to the test, and it was only the first round. "VARA!" Vara turns around and sees Bree running over to her. Vara looks slightly confused. Bree pulls Vara close to her and uses her quirk to create a shield around them. Bree then uses matter to destroy the robot. Vara looks at Bree, "good jobbbb! Watch your hand, it's kind of on my-" Bree quickly moves her hand. "I'm so sorry but you were about to get hurt." Vara smiles and runs the other way and Bree continues fighting in the space that she's in.

"Are you going to run Vara?" Someone says in a taunting manner, which makes her look around. "Monoma, I swear I'm going to kick your ass." He smirks and looks at her, "I'll be waiting for that tango in the quirk battle when I destroy you...sweetheart." Vara glares at him and walks away, "don't get hurt beforehand sweetheart." She says while walking away, neglecting to tell him that there was a robot close to him. There was the sound of machinery and a male scream, followed by a simple smirk from Vara.

"ALLLLLLL RIGHT FOLKS ROUND ONE IS OVER AND IT'S TIME FOR INTERMISSION! THEN THE NEXT ROUND! WHICH IS THE CAVALRY BATTLE!" Mr. Mic announces everyone looks around, "where's Izuku?" Bree asks and people shrug so she goes looking for him. "HEY IMMA NEED HELP TAKING HIM TO RECOVERY GIRL PLEASE!" Sero, Denki and Kiri look at back at Bree. She was holding Izuku's head up. The three boys run over helping Bree pick him up to take him to Recovery Girl. Bree is a very strong young lady but she'd rather not risk hurting him more in any way.

Vara searched around for a water bottle but then one appeared in front of her face. She took the bottle and it felt cold. "Thank you, Shoto!" He slightly smiles while Vara grabs the bottle. "You can tell you'll be drinking in the future." Mina says while putting her arm around Vara, "huh? Why do you say that?" Mina laughs slightly, "look at how you're holding the bottle girly." Vara looks at her hand and begins to laugh at Mina, "pfft Mina, nooo!" Mina started laughing. Vara opens her water bottle and begins to drink it. She walks where the stadium underskirts were. It was her hang-out spot when she was chilling from training. "Hey cutie~" Vara's eyes went wide, then she looked around. "Z, where the hell-" next thing she knew, she was slightly pinned to the wall, only to close the distance between Z and Vara. "Aww~ can we not watch you during the sports festival?" Vara rolls her eyes, "from the tv." Z chuckles slightly, "cute but I saw the Shoto kid eyeing you while you were fighting." Z glances down into Vara's eyes, "he's a friend-" Z lifts Vara's chin gently. "He doesn't look like just a friend. I'm going to let you go and do your best." Z removes his hand and walks away. "Thanks for the hair ties. Jada or Toga could use them." Vara looks at her arm, with no hair tie, she felt her long hair against her ears on the sides of her face. "You stole my hair ties- I- where did you go?!" Kiri pauses in his steps over to her, "Hey bro, you good?" Vara nods and fixes her hair and starts walking with Kiri to the group.

Once Vara and Kiri get to the group this is what they hear..."ALRIGHTTTTT STUDENTS GET READY FOR THE NEXT ROUND!!" Most of the students from class 1-A were together. "We got this! Let's kick some soon-to-be hero ass!"
