Ranboo woke up to a loud boom that rattled the house. With a groan Ranboo sat up and lazily looked around before another boom startled them. Ranboo looked to the side to check on Tubbo but found he wasn't there.

Worried, Ranboo quickly got out of bed quietly so as to not wake Michael upstairs and rushed to the guest room.

Upon opening the door Ranboo sighed as they saw Tubbo and Tommy curled around each other. Ranboo smiled at the two before walking into the room.

"You two are going to worry me sick one day…" Ranboo whispered before flinching due to a loud spurt of thunder. They looked at the window to see the storm raging on.

Their ears perked up at the sound of a whimper and Ranboo redirected their gaze to the bed that contained his husband and friend.

Both Tommy and Tubbo were shaking in their sleep. Ranboos' eyes softened as they walked to the bed and sat down on Tubbos' side.

Upon feeling the bed dip with weight, Tubbo woke from his light sleep to turn and see Ranboo.

"Hey.." Ranboo whispered as they reached over and combed a hand through Tubbos hair.

"Hey" Tubbo said groggily. Tubbo tried to smile but another loud boom shook the house and he flinched back. From beside him Tommy whimpered in his sleep again and tightened his grip on Tubbo.

Ranboo sighed and laid down on the bed and pulled both Tommy and Tubbo closer to them. Slowly a calming, deep rumble filled the room. Tubbo slowly relaxed as Tommy stopped being so tense.

"Are you… are you purring?" Tubbo whispered. Ranboo smiled softly but didn't answer Tubbos question, instead purring louder.

It stayed like that for a while before the pitter patter of small feet filled the hallway. The creak of the bedroom door opening filled the room as a tuft of pink hair poked out from behind. Michael shuffled into the room with a chicken plushie.

"Boo? Bee?" Michael whispered. Ranboo turned over.

"Michael? Come here baby," Ranboo said and opened an arm for the small child. Michael hurried over and climbed onto the guest bed and quickly drove under his parents arm. Ranboos purring softened a little as they tried to calm Michael.

"Did the storm wake you sweetheart?" Ranboo asked the child. Michael nodded slowly and tucked his head into Ranboos chest, cuddling up to them. Ranboo smiled at the kid before drifting to a light sleep.

It stayed like that for the rest of the night. Tubbo and Tommy clinging to each other and Ranboo purring to calm them down. And small little Michael peacefully slept due to his parents in the proximity.

Despite the thunderous storm, PTSD, and everything else topped on, it seemed like they would always have each other. As a family.
