Lubricants are specially designed oils for air compressors to ensure the proper and effortless working of the machine. The primary province of the lubricant is to reduce typical wear and tear, cooling, cleaning and sealing. Many usually guide you on the type of oil best suitable for their air compressors.

For a coherent working of air compressors, oil lubricant plays different duties. The lubricant acts as a coolant and removes heat present in the compressor; it also prevents wear and tear of varying machine parts by restraining metal parts from colliding with each other; it also lubricates the rotors and seal the chambers. The lubricant also helps to clean the air compressors; sometimes, dust enters through the air filters. The oil captures the dust particles and removes them from the system. The lubricant increases the life span of the air compressors in many ways.

There is a divergent range of lubricant available:

Mineral compressor oil: this type of oil is mineral-based and cheaper than any other oil. It has a high volatile capacity; hence it evaporates fast, being used up rapidly. Mineral oils are more reactive, and they tend to go into the compressor or filter, contaminating the end product. This type of oil is used in compressors which are not frequently used.Synthetic compressor oil: this type of oil is synthetic-based and of higher quality than mineral compressor oil. Synthetic oil can run up to 50% more than mineral oil as they are consumed less. These lubricants also help in increasing the life span of your air compressor. Synthetic oil does not contain sulphur or additives, which prevent any build-up, and it also cools down the components more than the mineral oil.

It is also essential to see if the compressor uses excessive oil; an air compressor can produce more heat if it does not have a proper oil reservoir or cannot use the appropriate oil quantity. One factor that can affect the shortage of oil is excessive oil passing through the rotors because of a wide gap. Trident India is an , providing best-in-class quality for its customers.
