the king and the mermaid

Untitled Part 1

A mermaid came knocking upon the king's door

She said, "I am not cleaning for you any more."
King Plastik knew he'd seen her face someplace before
And slowly he let her inside.

She said, "I've watched your palace down here in the cove
And I've wondered who's the mad king for whom we all clean
I do have one question which is rather important
 why do humans litter?."

Down in the long narrow hall she swam
Into his rooms with his plastic bags
And he never once took the crown from his head
He asked her there to sit down.

He said, "I see you now, and you are so very young
But humans are bad and they like to pollute
And I've got this intuition, says it's all for there fun
its because there all lazy!"

King Plastik, looked up with an arrogant eye
He said, "They don't understand, and they just don't try"
 her face was a child's, and he thought she would cry
But she just went red in anger.

And she said, "I've swallowed some micro plastic
It cuts me inside, and often I've bled."
He put his hand then on top of her throat
And felt the sharp plastic.

"Tell me how hungry are you? How weak you must feel
As you are cleaning the oceans, and you are never revealed
she said ' I won't clean again the humans mess."
And she took him to the window to see.

And the kelp, it was green, though the sand, it was gray
And he was shocked about what happened to his bay
But he knew how it frightened him, and he turned away
And was thinking of mad plan of action.

And he said, "I have a plan to get back at the man
To get revenge and save our oceans
And to swim in the sea which will be shiny
Young girl, get my soldiers, ready."

and the battle, has begun, it was the kings turn to play
And he stood there, amazed of how smart he is
He dompt all the plastic back on the land, this was his favorite day

Out in the distance humans got word 
And the plastic was recycled by the good humans
And while some kept on fighting with King Plastik
The battle continued on
