I was standing in the living room, waiting for the birthday boy to come out. I heard foot steps behind me so I turned.
I stood there looking at the handsome guy before me. His dirty blonde hair was brushed to the right side with gel. His bright green eyes popped and I could smell the amazing scent of his cologne.
He caught me staring and said, "I know, I look hot. No need to stare. That's a bit creepy."
I scoffed. "Who was staring." I was. I know I was . Gosh he looked so cute.
"So are you going to wish me happy birthday or what?" His eyes met mine.
I rolled my eyes and walked up to him. "Happy birthday Liam." I held out his present and he gladly accepted it.
Be looked inside the bag and laughed. He took out the pepperoni pizza pillow I got him. He said he wanted pepperoni pizza so I got him pizza that would last.
"Thanks Sophie." He pulled me into a tight hug. I couldn't help but breathe in his scent. It was overpowering.
I wasn't feeling thinking and just blurted it out. "Liam I like you."
I felt his body tense. I started to pull back, a tear threatening to escape my eye, when he pulled me back in. His hypnotic green eyes locked with my ice-chipped blue ones. He wiped my tear.
There was a moment of silence until Liam spoke. "I like you too."
I knew he would reject me. Wait, what. Did he just say he liked me. Okay I was totally crying right now. This was embarassing.
He laughed and leaned in. Our lips collided with a soft touch. Electricity coursed through my body. Liam's lips were warm. I felt my face flush. He pulled away for a split second before quickly rejoining my lips. I brought my arms around his neck and ran my fingers through his hair.
We heard clapping and quickly stopped kissing. I saw my friend Marcie run up to me. She squeezed me and then Liam.
"Finally!" She screamed. My face burned and I knew I was red. I bet I looked like a red chili pepper.
Liam's best friend, Trey, also walked in and patted Liam on the back. "Good job man." I saw Liam blush which caused me to blush even more.
"So you two are officially together, right?" Marcie asked.
Liam grabbed my hand. "Of course," he answered. I was so happy to here that.
Marcie squealed and for the rest of the night we partied and celebrated Liam's birthday.
