veronica, cheryl, toni and I are having a sleepover at thornhill. we are playing truth or dare.
"veronica, truth or dare?" toni asked with a smile on her face. "truth..?" veronica said, unsure. "who's your crush?" "nice try, but I won't tell you"
"yes, vee, we are your best friends! we won't tell anyone!" cheryl giggled. "yeah, we won't tell anyone." I said too, giggling. "okay fine.. it's jughead." veronica said, covering her face with a pillow in embarrassment.
"oh my god, vee! you gotta tell him!" "yeah I'm sure he likes you back!!"
little do they know that jughead and I have been dating for months now. without telling anyone.
"text him, text him, text him!" toni said clapping her hands. "shuuut up toni." veronica joked, throwing the pillow in toni's face.
what do I do now? I thought. do I tell them?
no, jughead wanted it to be a secret.
"bee, what do you think?" veronica asked me and I snapped out from my thoughts. "what?" "should I text him?" "yeah, do it!"
yeah, great betty, why did you say that?
"I'll be right back, guys." I grabbed my phone and walked to the bathroom. I turned the water on and called jughead.
jeez why didn't I just tell them the damn truth?
"hey jug!"
"hey betts, what's up?"
"uhm, long story short, veronica is about to ask you out."
"what?"
"yeah, we were playing truth or dare. should I tell her the truth, that we are dating? or just act like nothing is wrong? she would be so mad at me if I tell her that we are dating."
"tell her, let her know the truth."
"are you sure? she will be so mad."
"if she gets mad, I can pick you up and we'll have pops and watch movies for the rest of the night."
"how do you always know how to make me happy?"
"well" he giggled.
"I gotta go back, I'll call you soon, bye love!"
"bye, betts, love you."
I turned the water off and walked back to cheryls bedroom. "sit down, betty, veronica is about to text him!!" toni said with the biggest smile on her face. "Uhm, there's something I need to tell you.."
"what's wrong?"
I gulped. why am I even so nervous?
"Jughead and I... we are dating."
"Seriously?" veronica said in shock, turning her phone off.
we all just sat there. those seconds felt like hours.
cheryl and toni sat in silence, probably as shocked as veronica. "I-I didn't know you had a crush on him." veronica didn't say anything. no one did. the room was filled with awkward silence.
"well, congrats, cousin, I'm happy for you!" cheryl then said.
"for how long have you been dating?" veronica said before I could answer cheryl.
"seven months."
no answer.
"uhm, I have to go home." I grabbed my bag and walked out of the big dark house, thornhill.
I picked my phone up and called jughead again.
"hey, can you pick me up?"

jughead picked me up and we cuddled on the couch for the rest of the night.
