"You know, midsummers is coming up." Our mom smiled at us. "I already got you two headpieces and dresses."

"We're not going." We both muttered as we ate our breakfast.

"You two are going!" Our dad argued, causing us both to groan in frustration.

"If Kie isn't going, I'm not going." I stated. Since I'm the older and more outspoken twin, I have to stand up for Kie against my parents.

"There literally was a hurricane not to long ago. There are bigger issues here than a stupid midsummers party." Kie states as we heard John B honk his horn. "Bye!" We yelled and ran out the door.

"Girls!" Our parents shouted as we left.

"And we were right outside like this." JJ explains as he leans against the brick wall. "And all we hear is just, 'Bam! Bam! Bam!' Knocking paint off the wall, G! From the inside. All right? And I'm just looking at him, like..." JJ comes over to us and rubs his fingers through his hair as white stuff comes out of his hair. "Wait, first off, look at this shit. Look at it."

"That's dandruff, disgusting." Kie mutters in disgust as the two of us wipe it off us

"Okay, thank you." Pope pushes JJ's head away from him.

"Look at all that. All right? That's paint. At that point, I was just, like... I'm waiting for death." JJ pants.

"Thats a little over dramatic, J." I rolled my eyes.

"Oh, okay, so you saw the guys that shot at us, right?" Pope asked.

"Yeah."

"Did you get a good description of them? What did they look like? Anything we can bring to a police report?" Pope questioned.

"Burly." JJ answered.

"Burly?" I repeated in confusion.

"Yeah. You know, like..." JJ trailed off.

"That's not very helpful." Kie quipped.
