"How? ... Why? ... why and how did this happen to me?" I thought while sitting on the floor of my bedroom. My chest was so tight and I just wanted to scream. "It's just not fair.." I said in a shaky voice "It's just not fair! I gave him everything, my heart, my soul, my love! Was it not enough?!" At this point I was starting to yell. But, I couldn't help it... "HER OVER ME?! IT'S ALWAYS HER! ALWAYS!"

"Hey Joe!" I exclaimed "How are you?" I was a little bit excited because it was March 27, my birthday. I was hoping he would say "Happy birthday Kaoru!" But instead, he just daydreamed away like I wasn't even there. "Heyy!" I said in a singsong voice. When he finally noticed me, he didn't say "Happy birthday" or "Sorry" instead, he just introduced me to his girlfriend. At first thought, I thought that everything was okay, because Joe's a big player. But I was very wrong. The way he looked at her. The way he smiled. The way he said her name. "Justine.." I whispered "Justine.. Why am I so mad at her?" I questioned to myself "Shouldn't I feel happy for him?" "Justine.." I said once again. This time I didn't care. All I wanted was for her to be gone. I didn't know why at first, but then, it clicked. I loved my best friend.
