BoruSara- Lost Love

Chapter 4.3

This is the last of the Boruto Training Arc that I will cover! I know I'm deviating from the actual plot and whatnot, but I think these little changes won't do much to the actual plot and all. With that being said, I'm excited to wrap this small arc up and get back to writing about Sarada! Also, I will be taking a short hiatus for the next few weeks. I'm not quitting or anything, and I'll still be able to write periodically, but no at the same pace. I'm planning on doing a mass release once major events are over (Covid shots, vacation to take a break, etc.) so keep a lookout for that when I upload!

Five Kage Spectator Box

"Looks like this will be a fun tournament. Right, Seventh Hokage."

"That's for sure. I wasn't expecting my son to be here, but I'll bet that he can beat Shinki."

"Without the tool?"

"He's grown past that now."

"I don't see Sarada, I thought you were mentoring her?"

"I told her to take the day off, or go train with Kakashi-Sensei or Sakura. I'd also like word of this tournament to not reach her ears. I can't afford to have her distracted too long."

"That's rough... poor young'uns..."

Naruto folded his arms and examined the arena.

"I'm surprised you managed to gather this many shinobi though. 512 is no small number, especially when so many are talents like these. I know that there aren't too many from our Hidden Leaf."

"You must be slacking off then, Hokage! At least that's what I say, but it's all due to these young people's hard efforts. The Kara have been causing mass chaos everywhere, and these people are the shinobi who will surpass us one day, and put this case at rest."

"I hope so... This only matches individual talent though, not talent in teams."

"You never know what could happen. The Kara have some trick up their sleeve, or something backing them. Otherwise how could they simply appear so strongly?"

"The first match is starting. We should pay attention."

Gaara snapped a slight bit of sand on the ground, ending the conversation briefly as the first match between Toroi and Shinki started. (Toroi is the shinobi who overestimated himself, thinking he could take down Mitsuki.)

Boruto Uzumaki POV

"Round 1, Match 72: Boruto Uzumaki of Hidden Leaf vs Makinami Senka. Start!"

I looked at Makinami from the other side of the arena and shook my head.

"I don't have the gadget from before. It's practically useless anyway."

"Oh? A bit confident now? Or are you just as poor as you were back in the chunin exams?"

"I don't know how much I've improved since then, but it's enough to take care of someone like you without a problem."

"Let's see then! Shadow Clone Jutsu!"

The arena was filled with at least thirty Shadow Clones, almost comparable to the amount I could make.

"Shadow Clone Jutsu."

Each of my clones matched every one of his, leaving some left to defend myself.
