"I just don't know what I did wrong," Langa says defeated. He's lying his head down on the counter in front of his boss.
"Well yknow he's different than you, he's closer to me actually in the sense that-" he's started rambling now. Langas tuned him out, he was never any good at advice stuff anyways so maybe it's for the best.

Cherry and Shadow are both in the hospital, Joes upset about both of them, Cherry more so but both nonetheless.
Miya just feels betrayed.

"YOURE JOKING" Shadow slams his hands down on the table, "HE CANT BE DUMB ENOUGH TO ACCEPT IT RIGHT?"
He gets a strange look from everyone nearby.
"Sorry" he says quietly sitting back down and crossing his arms.
"Im afraid he's not smart enough to decline," Cherry replies, "we both know this."
Shadow slouches down in his seat, as if he's already accepted a fate not even his own.
"However, I have reason to believe that he has some tricks up his sleeve as well."
Shadow perks up, "he knows he got left in the dust last time, and that he wasn't even serious about the race. There's no way he'd accept it with everything that's happened."
"What do you mean?"
"We'll find out soon enough, I just hope I get my revenge." Cherry says as he flips open his fan to hide a smile.

"IS HE STUPID" Miya yells, Joe would scold him if there was anyone inside but it's just them.
"THAT SLIME LEFT US AND IMMEDIATELY GOES TO HIM?"
"WHAT IS HIS PROBLEM AND WHY DO- why do you look like that?"
He's blunt. It's a blessing and a curse Joe thinks at he angrily scrubs a plate.
"He's changed. I knew something happened but that's not Reki. Not ours at least and not anymore."
