Chapter 4: Into The Depths

Zach didn't know where he was falling. He didn't even know IF he was falling. Before too long though, he hit the ground. 

"Ouch..." 

Zach pulled out a spare torch that he had, and the area around him proceeded to light up with an orange glow. He looked around. Lots of dirt, and stone. He noticed a glimmer. It was a brownish color. He placed the torch on the ground and walked toward the ore. He mined it with his pickaxe. He noticed that there was a downward slope that led farther into the cave. He headed down into the cave while holding yet another torch. He wasn't paying attention, so he stepped on a pressure plate. It clicked beneath him, and before he could look down, he had a poison dart in his leg. 

"OW!" 

Zach was in incredible pain. He slowly took out the dart and began sucking out the poison. After the pain subsided, he ripped the pressure plate out of the ground and threw it down into the cave. He proceeded to go down, and saw some pots. He couldn't fit his hand in, so he decided to smash them with his sword. He got some more torches, some rope, and some coins. He was on a ledge, looking over the cave. When he was least expecting it, a slime snuck up behind him and shoved him off the cliff. Thankfully, he fell into a pool of water. He quickly swam back up onto land, and noticed what looked like a house. He noticed a door. He went inside, and noticed the entire house was covered in cobweb. He slowly cut through the webs and found something. He found a golden chest! He looked inside. He found a magic mirror, some dynamite, some healing potions, and 2 gold coins. He decided to take the chest for storage. He noticed an anvil next to where the chest was. He left the house out of another door. He decided to take a good look at himself in the mirror. Suddenly, he was in front of his house, and Bell and Mike were still arguing on the inside. He noticed the Guide sitting on the porch. 

"Oh? You're back?" The Guide asked.

"Y-Yeah, I guess. But I don't know how. I just looked at myself in this cool mirror." Zach replied.

"Wow, you found a magic mirror!" The Guide said.

"A magic mirror? What does that do?" Zach asked.

"Well, I think you know already. It takes you back home when you look in it." The Guide told him.

"They're still arguing?" Zach asked.

"Yep."

"Be right back."

Zach slammed open the door.

"O-Oh, Zach! You're back!" Bell said, trying to act all innocent.

"I could literally hear you. Stop."

"Sorry, Zach. Bell kept-" Mike said, but being cut off.

"I don't care what Bell was doing. Stop arguing." Zach said. "Anyway, it's becoming night time. We should get some sleep."

"Fine." 

"Okay."
